The Browns have rarely had any luck bringing in special teams aces.

On Wednesday, they took another swing at it by bringing in former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Tylan Wallace.

Wallace reunites with his former coach, Todd Monken, in Cleveland with his sights set on making an impact on the offensive side of the ball and being a factor in the return game.

Here are five things to get to know the newest Cleveland Brown.

Career Built on Speed

Wallace is a little undersized, standing at just 5'11 and weighing in less than 200 pounds.

Coming out of college at Oklahoma State, the fastest that he was clocked was a blazing 4.39 40-yard dash, and that has kept him in the league for a while.

He only has 24 career catches for 353 yards.

From a Ravens Fan...

History shows that Wallace's career suffered from a very crowded wide receiver room in Baltimore.

He was competing for touches with Zay Flowers, Rashad Bateman, DeAndre Hopkins, and Mark Andrews, let alone the guys in the backfield.

He is labeled as a solid return man, but he just never got the consistent opportunities to show what he can do at wide receiver.

"Flair for the Dramatic"

Wallace wasn't consistently a big-play threat, but he does have two of the most memorable plays in Baltimore Ravens history.

The major one dates back to 2023 when the Ravens were in a dogfight with the Los Angeles Rams, and after a crazy end of regulation, Wallace received a punt in overtime, and the rest was history.

He went 76 yards to win the football game.

Then, in 2024, he had an 84-yard catch and run for a huge touchdown against the Cincinatti Bengals.

He has big play capabilities, and when given the chance, he can take advantage of his opportunities.

Big Play History

Wallace was an electric player at Oklahoma State in his college career.

That career spanned from 2018 to 2020.

He amassed nearly 3,500 yards on just 205 catches over three years of playing while finding the endzone 26 times.

His best game ever was a 222-yard, 2-touchdown game against the Texas Longhorns in 2018.

That season, he had five different games of over 100 yards receiving.

From Lamar Himself

After Wallace's first 100-yard game against the Cincinnati Bengals, his quarterback, Lamar Jackson, had this to say about the young wide receiver after describing him as a "dog": "Tylan can do it all, man...

He comes through, man, when it's primetime."
He got the approval of his signal caller, and the hope is that he can come to Cleveland and be that guy for the Browns when they need him.
