The Driscoll family are on the verge of complete collapse in Coronation Street next week.
Ben (Aaron McCusker) is utterly rocked when he presses mum Maggie (Pauline McLynn) for clarity on her recent behaviour, but is wholly unprepared for the revelation she drops.
Declaring he wants nothing more to do with her, can things ever be mended between mother and son?
Sam Blakeman’s (Jude Riordan) psychological torture at the hands of Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) has left him deeply wounded, and despite the support of dad Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and step-mums Leanne and Toyah Battersby (Jane Danson and Georgia Taylor), he’s convinced that Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) is still terrorising him.
Clearly scarred by his experiences with Megan, just how bad is the damage she’s inflicted on Sam?
Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) is finally released, and her reappearance on the street is uncharacteristically celebrated by her son Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard).
Though peace is seemingly brokered between Carl and Debbie’s husband, Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), does Carl truly have his ailing mum’s best interest at heart?
With an extra offering of Weatherfield action next week, we’ve got plenty to dive into.
Let’s get to it, shall we?
Sunday, April 5
As Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) celebrates Debbie’s release, his joy turns to fear when Ronnie calls him, panicked that she’s gone missing.
Carl finds her on the swings and is evidently overjoyed to see that she’s been set free.
The tension is palpable at The Rover’s with Maggie facing the fury of both Ben and Will.
As Ben begins to suffer a dizzy spell, desperate Maggie tries to call an ambulance, but he demands the truth, leading her to reveal that he was the result of a one night stand: Alan isn’t his dad.
While she stops short of revealing that Jim McDonald (Charles Lawson) is his birth father, her reaction to Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike) and Amy (Elle Mulvaney) being left alone at No.1 betrays her.
As Leanne and Toyah come to blows over Sam’s counselling, he receives an apology from Will, though this does little to settle him.

Despite Toyah’s advice to forget about Megan, Sam is still riddled with anxiety and turns to Hope Dobbs (Isabella Flanagan) for support.
As Will approaches and Hope tosses cruel barbs his way, Sam shrinks.
Ronnie’s sickened to learn that Carl has asked Debbie for £10,000 to pay off Fiona Morley (Sara Poyzer) and that she’s agreed on the proviso that he works for her to pay it off.
Furious, Ronnie determines to talk to Fiona himself.
Elsewhere, Jodie Ramsay (Olivia Frances-Brown) pulls a sickie to spend a day on the couch with David Platt (Jack P.
Shepherd) and Ben struggles to deal with Maggie’s revelation.
Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) hints to Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) that Debbie wasn’t responsible for Billy Mayhew’s (Daniel Brocklebank) death, and Tim Metcalfe (Tim Duttine) withdraws when Sally (Sally Dynevor) pushes him over Trisha Marlow (Anita Booth).
Tuesday, April 7
Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) watches on, deeply concerned as Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) and Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) hold a meeting with some potential clients at the Chariot Square and Debbie, while serving champagne, makes some incredibly out of pocket comments.
Meanwhile, Ben banishes Maggie from his life, Tim heads to Freshco to confront Trisha and Jodie and David bond when he reveals he’s stolen Lisa Swain’s (Vicky Myers) shiny new wheelie bin.
Wednesday, April 8
Debbie is left squarely on the backfoot when Summer arrives at the Chariot Square and asks her if Carl was driving on the night of Billy’s death.
Desperate to put some space between her and Summer, Debbie grabs two hot plates from Ryan, burning her hands.
Also, Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa celebrate Lisa’s divorce coming through, leaving Connie with Jodie, while Tim confides in Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) that he hasn’t got a clue what to say to Trisha, should he find her.
Thursday, April 9
Debbie is hardly surprised to learn her condition has worsened from her latest scan results, while Ronnie squares up to Carl in the café over his lack of concern for his mum.
Carl reports the incident to Debbie at the hotel, and they’re both taken aback when Ronnie arrives, full of apologies and wanting to make a fresh start with Carl.
On Nick’s suggestion, a desperately uneasy Sam agrees to a pizza night with Will, though he later thinks he sees Will and hears him saying that nobody would care if Sam lived or died.
Elsewhere, a panicked Sarah seeks out Todd, who’s stopped responding to George’s messages, but they’re interrupted when Theo returns.
Jodie tells Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) that she’s been review-bombing Mal Roper’s (Tim Treloar) website, hoping to gain revenge for Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove).
Friday, April 10
A terrified Sarah summons Danielle, Theo’s ex-wife and questions her about Theo’s violence and abuse of Todd.
Her interrogation is scuppered, though, when Todd and Theo discover them in the café.
Later, though, a victorious Theo announces his contract has come through and they’ll be moving to Belfast on Monday.
Also, Gemma reveals Jodie’s scheme to Bernie when Roy Cropper (David Neilson) tells her Mal is heading back to Inverness and Nick arranges a chess game between Sam and Roy.
