Much to the surprise of viewers, content creator Elsa, 21 and mechanical engineer Marcus, 22, found love in the latest civilian season of the ITV reality series in September.

During the course of the show, fans witnessed their budding romance with the pair dropping the L-word in the final week.

Despite accusations at the time that it was a ‘showmance’, their relationship has only flourished since leaving the house.

In the end, Richard was crowned victor with Elsa coming in as runner-up, but the happy couple won something much bigger in each other, it seems.

After sharing various milestones on their social media accounts – including a ‘girlfriend’ proposal – their latest update is the biggest yet as they confirmed they were expecting a baby.

In an Instagram post, they wrote: ‘We’ve been keeping a little secret…our bubba due October 2026!

We are so very excited.’
This was alongside a photo of a rabbit blanket and matching booties and a baby grow with the phrase ‘and then there were three’ written on top, as well as an ultrasound of the wee tot.

‘So excited,’ Teja wrote.

‘Congratulations guys,’ Zelah echoed.

‘Hearts bursting, yous will be the best mum and dad x’ Tate added.

Talking about their relationship in December, Elsa described them as ‘two peas in a pod’, and Marcus agreed they were ‘synced up’.

‘And I was reluctant to use that word but that’s where we are at, that’s where I’m at anyway.’
Shortly after the finale, he decorated a hotel room with red heart balloons and petals where he popped the all-important question to Elsa: ‘Will you be my girlfriend?’
Their unexpected romance was a bright spot in a season otherwise rife with controversy and scandal, especially centred around contestant George.
He was eventually removed from the house for ‘repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour… with immediate effect’ with his comments about the Jewish community, immigration and Black women (among others) all garnering backlash.
