The Boston Celtics quickly realized they had their hands full with the Phoenix Suns squad that has, as the Celtics have, exceeded expectations this season by playing tough, connected basketball.
But the talent on Boston's roster would eventually win the day 120-112 late in the game's final frame.
The tilt was a rare example of the Celtics not winning the shot margin contest, with the Suns coming out on top 83-80 there.
That Boston held Phoenix to just 32 percent from beyond the arc while shooting 43 percent from deep helped secure their win, and Jaylen Brown converting 19 of his 21 attempts at the free throw line was a welcome change for the Georgia native as well.
Let's take a look at some of the best players captured in images from the win.
