Chappell Roan has come under fire after allegedly sending a security guard to accuse Jude Law’s young daughter of harassment.

In recent weeks the 28-year-old American singer – real name Kayleigh Rose Amstutz – has found herself in the spotlight after hitting out at both paparazzi and fans who she claimed were hounding her.

Now, she’s been accused of sending her security to reprimand Jude’s daughter, which left her ‘in tears’.

This weekend Brazilian soccer star Jorginho Frello – who is married to Catherine Harding, the mother of Jude’s daughter Ada, 11 – posted a statement on social media in which he recalled a ‘very sad situation’.

The sportsman began by explaining that his wife and daughter were staying at the same hotel as Chappell during Lollapalooza Brazil – which she performed at overnight.

However hours before, the former Chelsea and Arsenal star blasted the singer and her security for the way they handled his stepdaughter, who was not named but appears to have been Ada.

‘I went through a very upsetting situation with my family earlier today,’ the 34-year-old began.

‘My wife (@catcavelli) is in Sao Paulo for @lollapaloozabr.

This morning, my daughter woke up incredibly excited, she even made a sign because she was so happy to see an artist she really admires or used to admire.

‘By coincidence, they’re staying at the same hotel as this artist.

During breakfast, the artist walked past their table.

My daughter, like any child, recognised her, got excited, and just wanted to make sure it was really her.’
He continued: ‘And the worst part is she didn’t even approach her.

She simply walked past the singer’s table, looked to confirm it was her, smiled, and went back to sit with her mum.

She didn’t say anything, didn’t ask for anything.

‘What happened next was completely disproportionate.

A large security guard came over to their table while they were still having breakfast and began speaking in an extremely aggressive manner to both my wife and my daughter, saying that she shouldn’t allow my daughter to “disrespect” or “harass” other people.

‘Honestly, I don’t know at what point simply walking past a table and looking to see if someone is there can be considered harassment.

He even said he would file a complaint against them with the hotel, while my 11-year-old daughter was sitting there in tears.

My daughter was extremely shaken and cried a lot.’
Jorginho then said it was ‘sad to see this kind of treatment coming from those who should understand the importance of fans’.

‘At the end of the day, they are the ones who build all of this.

I sincerely hope this serves as a moment of reflection.

No one should have to go through this, especially not a child.’
Wrapping up his post, he directly called out the singer, tagging her official account and writing: ‘WITHOUT YOUR FANS, YOU WOULD BE NOTHING.

AND TO THE FANS, SHE DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR AFFECTION.’
After the footballer’s post went viral, many others weighed in on his claims, including Rio mayor Eduardo Cavaliere, who has declared he’s banned Chappell from performing in the city.

‘I mean that as long as I’m in charge of our city – this young lady @ChappelRoan will never perform at Todo Mundo no Rio!

I doubt that Shakira would do that!

By the way, @FrelloJorginho your little one is already the guest of honour from the organisation in May!’ he posted on social media.

‘This was Ada’s reaction yesterday to arriving to watch @sabrinacarpenter,’ she posted on Instagram.

‘Our daughter decided she didn’t want to go to the show tonight after how we were treated…so instead we had a girls day shopping and then out to dinner.

Thank you everyone for the kind messages, all is well!’
Chappell has a somewhat fraught history with her fans, previously calling out behaviour she labelled ‘creepy’ and ‘invasive’.

In 2024, around the time she rose to fame, the singer posted a video on TikTok in which she declared: ‘I don’t care that abuse and harassment, stalking, whatever, is a normal thing to do to people who are famous or a little famous.

‘It’s weird how people think that you know a person because you see them online and you listen to the art they make…I’m allowed to say no to creepy behaviour, okay?’
She later posted a statement on Instagram, in which she wrote: ‘I want to be an artist for a very long time.

I’ve been in too many nonconsensual physical and social interactions, and I just need to lay it out and remind you, women don’t owe you s***.’
‘When I’m on stage, when I’m performing, when I’m in drag, when I’m at a work event, when I’m doing press…I am at work.

Any other circumstance, I am not in work mode.

I am clocked out.’
The Irish singer was 23 when she dated Jude, then 41.

He’s has since gone on to marry and welcome two children with psychologist Phillipa Coan.
