Coronation Street star Sally Carman-Duttine showed off a new look last month and she’s done so yet again, with a fresh hairstyle that has left her ‘in awe’.

Abi Webster as you’ve never seen her before!

This fierce ‘n’ feisty mechanic is best known on the Cobbles for rocking her trademark blonde bob and greasy overalls, as well as a truly impressive collection of ‘rock chic’ leather jackets and chunky knitwear – when she’s not tearing them off to get down and dirty with Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard .)
Sally posted a picture of her sensational new glow-up on March 14, with the caption ‘Who dis?

🍓 Thank you @leahrileyhair for always going above and beyond.

There is no one like you!

✨🧚‍♀️
‘Who dis?

is right?’ The transformation is a million miles away from from the Abi we know.

Fans might be forgive for thinking that another long lost Webster sibling has rocked up on the Cobbles!

Gone was the iconic blonde bob, and in its place are radiant cooper locks.

The new do went down a storm with Sally’s fellow Corrie stars, who blew up the comments section with braise for joining the redhead ranks.

‘Wow!

Wow!

Wow!

🔥gorgeous 🫶🏼’ gushed Vicky Myers, who plays Cobbles Copper DS Lisa Swain.

Julia Goulding, who plays Weatherfield icon Shona Platt commented ‘Fit Fire cracker!

🔥❤️’
Tony Maudsley, who plays the friendliest Undertaker in Manchester George Shuttleworth was full of praise for Abi’s new look.

‘You foxy minx!!

This is gorgeous!!

x’
Sue Devaney, who portrays Abi’s former sister-in-law, Debbie Webster, wrote ‘Very wow!

Very beautiful!

Very lady in red!

Very stunning indeed ❤️❤️❤️xxxx’
Most intriguingly of all, Georgia Taylor, who plays Coronation Street legacy character Toyah Battersby seemed to take credit for Sally’s new style.

‘Obsessed 🙌 and also (I like to think) partly responsible 😂 😘’

But flashforward one month and Sally has updated her look once more, returning to her signature blonde locks.

‘From this point onwards I shall be referring to @leahrileyhair as ‘The Magician’,’ she wrote on her Instagram earlier this week.

‘She turned my bright, beautiful copper red hair back to blonde in a matter of hours.

If you know anything about hair you know this is no mean feat.

I’m in awe of her wizardry and so, SO grateful!

Thank you @leahrileyhair and @greatlengthsuk_ie you are THE BEST 😭🤩🙌💛 #hair #skills #legend#illstopnowipromise’
First joining Coronation Street in October 2017, Abi was a drug addict whose childred Charlie and Lex discovered her suffering from an overdose, leading to them being taken into foster care.

Abi’s stint on the Street was intended to be a brief, six-episode guest role.

But both character and actress were so beloved that Abi evolved into the feisty mechanic we all know and adore.

Abi’s time on Coronation Street saw her leave the chaos of her old life behind for the warm stability of Kevin Webster, who trained her as a mechanic before they eventually married.

However, the Websters’ happy domestic setup was turned on its head by the arrival of Kevin’s long-lost brother, Carl.

He turned Abi’s head and very soon they were throwing caution to the wind in a passionate affair behind Kevin’s back.

Abi thought Carl truly loved her and was prepared to end her marriage to Kevin to be with him.

But as soon as things got boring, Carl did the dirty on her with James Bailey (Jason Callender).

Now Abi hates Carl’s guts… which gives her something in common with just about everyone else on the Street.

With Coronation Street’s mysterious whodunnit just around the corner, Carl is one of five potential villains who could be bumped off by a mystery murder.

And given the fact that actor Jonathan Howard has hinted at a potential exit, and that he’s set to antagonise Abi before the death at Carla and Lisa’s wedding, we can’t help but wonder…
