DC Studios reportedly has its eye on Superbad and Peacemaker alum Greg Mottola to direct an untitled Bane and Deathstroke movie.
While nothing is confirmed quite yet, Deadline reports that Mottola is the frontrunner but there are a few other potential directors in the mix.
There is no release date set yet for the movie.
Mottola is probably best known as the director of the comedies Superbad and Adventureland.
He lead the development of Confess, Fletch and The Daytrippers, and also directed a few episodes of Season 2 of DC's Peacemaker.
Plot details for the Bane and Deathstroke movie – and its potential ties to the budding DCU – remain murky, but it will have more than enough material to pull from if it does eventually happen.
Aside from showing up in multiple video games and TV shows over the years, different versions of Bane have made live-action appearances in movies like The Dark Knight Rises and Batman & Robin.
Deathstroke a.k.a.
Slade Wilson has a more limited list of live-action appearances, but the character has still shown up in shows like Arrow and Titans.
He was also played by Joe Manganiello for a brief end-credits sequence in Justice League.
