Tesco finest organic Rueda verdejo
“It’s like a clean, lively, luscious sauvignon blanc, but so much better.

Verdejo is best when it’s from Rueda, crisp citrus with a herbacious and zesty clang.

“It's got floral here too, which is just spring in a wine glass, and perfect for that first bit of sunshine – we all need it!”
Luke Flunder recommends the Tesco finest Greek assyrtiko if you’re after a delicious white wine this Easter.

“You know a wine has something going for it when it pops despite being a tongue-twister to order,” he says.

“A cracking expression of this Greek grape, crisp and mineral, that'll have you thinking of a lazy afternoon on a beach in Greece with a plate of fresh seafood.”
Tesco finest vina del cura Rioja gran reserva
“This is a truly ‘old school’ Rioja made by one of the very best bodegas.

It's got absolute lashings of spicy, soft oak with plenty of creamy, plum like fruit.

It’s so smooth you’ll definitely be needing a second glass”.

Flunder’s choice for red wine is the Tesco finest Ribera del Duero.

“From a smart, modern winery on the banks of the Duero, just west of Rioja, this is tempranillo firing on all cylinders, with dark black fruits up front and plenty of complexity to keep things interesting,” he says.

“One of the best value rosés in the selection,” says Flunder, recommending the La P'tite Pierre rosé at Tesco.

He describes it as “light, delicate, with a refreshing streak of red berry running through it” and suggests to “serve it well chilled, and you won't look back”.

For Tom, look no further than the Mirabeau pure Provence rosé.

“Not only does this taste zesty, zippy and refreshing, it looks ravishing too… and that’s got to be what rosé is all about,” he explains.

“It’s a beautiful coral pink and leaps out of the glass with bright strawberry, citrus and floral notes.

It’s a cracker, and a bit show off – what's not to love?”
Graham Beck selection sparkling wine
“This South African winery has been winning over wine lovers recently for good reason,” Flunder explains.

“All the hallmarks of a far pricier cuvée are here, with that lovely balance between vibrant fruit and toasty complexity.”
“Could this be the best value Sparkling wine on our shelves at the moment?

YES, it might well be,” says Gilbey.

“It’s made in the traditional champagne method and has more than a hint of the class and depth you get from a very good champagne, but this has bags of zesty, citrus fruit that’s quite clearly enjoyed a good dollop of South African sunshine,” he adds.

“This is my go-to fizz at the minute, so bag it before I clear the shelves,” Gilbey warns.
