The biggest race day of the year is here with the Grand National taking centre stage at Aintree this afternoon.

I Am Maximus has been the bookies’ favourite all week after finishing second behind last year’s shock winner Nick Rockett at 33/1.

But that has all changed on the day with Panic Attack now leading the field.

Nick Rockett meanwhile had harboured hopes of replicating Tiger Roll’s double win in 2019 but was declared a non-runner on Thursday.

The action gets underway with the Hallgarten and Novum Wines Maghull Novices’ Steeple Chase at 12.45pm before the showpiece event gets underway at 4pm.
