Gregg Wallace faced a tense question from a fan after it was revealed he’s returning to the culinary world following his exit from MasterChef.
The 61-year-old left MasterChef in 2024 following allegations of inappropriate behaviour behind the scenes.
Since then, Wallace has been keeping himself busy on social media and working as a life coach.
On Friday, however, Wallace announced plans for a new cooking show titled Gregg’s Kitchen.
The show is a 12-hour TikTok live cooking show, which will go live on Sunday, April 5.
After the announcement, one user posted a video clip on X, excerpted from Wallace’s TikTok livestream, in which Wallace read out a user question: ‘I ain’t tryning to be funny but have you learned how to talk to women properly yet.’
The person who posted the clip claimed Wallace blocked them after they posted the question.
Gregg originally announced the news of the new show on The Malik Butchers Facebook page.
‘I am excited to announce a brand new live cookery show on TikTok, Gregg’s Kitchen, and it will showcase on Sunday, April 5,’ Wallace explains.
‘We are going to be cooking some amazing dishes, we are going to have some incredible guests, lots of cookery, lots of live chat and more importantly, lots of very good offers for you to buy on TikTok shop.’
Wallace left the BBC after the corporation was made aware of allegations of inappropriate sexual comments from 13 individuals.
While the chef and his lawyers claimed these allegations were entirely false, he was asked to step away while an investigation into his conduct took place.
In July 2025, Wallace released a statement ahead of the investigation’s findings, where he said he was ‘deeply sorry for any distress’ and claimed he ‘never set out to harm or humiliate’.
He then added that he had been cleared of the ‘most serious and sensational accusations’.
However, the report substantiated 45 of the 83 complaints against Wallace – mostly involving inappropriate sexual language and humour – and he was dropped by the BBC permanently.
Wallace then attempted to sue the BBC for up to £10,000 in damages, alleging they failed to disclose his personal data, which he claimed caused him ‘distress and harassment’.
However, Wallace ultimately dropped the case shortly in advance of a hearing.
A BBC spokesperson confirmed: ‘He is not receiving any payment in costs or damages from either BBC or BBC Studios.’
Wallace’s co-star, John Torode, also faced allegations of using racist language, which were upheld, and he was also sacked from the BBC cooking show.
News of Wallace’s TikTok cooking show has sparked plenty of reaction online, with some calling it ’embarassing’ while someone else posted ‘I’d rather watch paint dry.’
But others have seemed more keen for Wallace’s return, with one person writing: ‘Fair play, he’s been shafted!’
