Greggs is giving McDonald’s a run for its money with ‘mouthwatering’ new breakfast item

When it comes to brekkie on the go, McDonald’s has dominated the market for some time.

One of the most popular items is the Breakfast Wrap, which combines a sausage patty, two fried eggs, bacon, cheese, and a crispy potato rosti.

But it seems this treat might now have some serious competition from another major high street brand.

This is because Greggs has just unveiled a brand new item: The Hot Breakfast Wrap.

What’s in the new Hot Breakfast Wrap from Greggs?

A single wrap costs £3.95, or it can be purchased as part of Greggs’ breakfast deal, which includes a wrap and any hot drink, orange juice or water from £4.70.

One bold user, @roksannroschana1h, even made the claim that Greggs might just be ‘giving McDonald’s a run for its money!’
While @rhysdoingthings_ said: ‘Need her.’

‘HOLY MOLY,’ proclaimed @seapeekay, as @caspianclift added that it ‘looks mouthwatering’.

However, not everyone is keen, as many voiced disappointment over the fact that there isn’t a veggie or vegan option of the wrap up for grabs.

@lizzie_mrgn exclaimed: ‘Where is the meatless option!’
Similarly, @alison_hodges noted: ‘Vegans are very vocal with their wants.

But clearly there aren’t enough buying the items to keep selling them’.

Where can you buy the new wrap?

Currently, it’s only going to be available in 82 locations across Yorkshire, for a limited time, as part of a trial.

It’s not yet known how long the trial will last or when it will be added to other stores.
