New reports about GTA 6’s UGC plans suggest that Rockstar Games is looking to emulate Roblox, in terms of allowing its players to make money from the game.

If GTA 6 does come out this November, and doesn’t suffer another delay, then the video games industry may never be the same again.

Not only is the game going to be absolutely massive, making it difficult for other titles to get noticed, but it’s been rumoured for some time that it will focus on Roblox style user-generated content.

Rockstar themselves has never confirmed this (or virtually anything else about the game) but new comments from HipHopGamer, who is known to have close contacts at Rockstar Games owner Take-Two Interactive, suggest that the feature will have little trouble encouraging people to use it.

‘This game will produce millionaires.

We’re living in a time where UGC [user-generated style content] is a major thing,’ said HipHopGamer, via PC Gamer.

‘It’s wise and it’s worth the wait.’
‘When it does come, especially on PC, if you thought GTA 5 was crazy – especially with the RP [role-playing] servers and everything that they’re doing – you ain’t seen nothing yet,’ he added.

Rockstar Games acquired the team behind fan mods FiveM and RedM (the Red Dead Online equivalent) in 2023 and it’s so it’s widely expected that GTA 6 will featuring similar role-playing options for GTA Online 2 – or whatever it ends up calling its online service.

A separate leaker, the usually reliable TheGhostOfHope, suggests that GTA Online 2 will go live ‘within a month’ of the game launching.

That’s hardly a stretch though, as that’s exactly how it worked with GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Although not every online feature is guaranteed to be available from the start and it’ll probably be a fairly slow ramp up, given how busy the servers will be in the first month in particular.

Although all of this is very believable, and doesn’t need inside sources to guess at, HipHopGamer also offered another more specific piece of leaked information.

According to him, there will be a ‘special side mission’ involving ‘a major rapper that left CM Punk bloody by accident.’ This, apparently, is a reference to Freddie Gibbs, who accidently injured wrestler CM Punk while filming the 2025 movie Night Patrol.

There’s no information on what the side mission is, but the GTA games are riddled with celebrity cameos, big and small, so it’s perfectly believable, especially as Gibbs’ track Still Livin’ is on Radio Los Santos in GTA 5.

If there are no further delays – and that is a fairly big if – GTA 6 will be released on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

A PC version has not yet been announced but that’s also entirely normal for Rockstar and it’ll likely be 2027 until it becomes available on Steam et al.

It remains a mystery as to when Rockstar will release another trailer for the game, but the most recent rumours suggest in the late summer.

Although Rockstar does occasionally make reveals via other companies’ showcases, such as Sony’s State of Play livestreams, it generally prefers to do things itself.

That means the most likely outcome for Trailer 3 is that it’ll be announced with a simple tweet, a day or two ahead of the trailer going live… and trying to reclaim its status as the most watched trailer ever.
