The pair and Josh Tongue had been under investigation by the Cricket Regulator over their behaviour
England cricket pair Harry Brook and Jacob Bethell have been cautioned over their conduct on the tour of New Zealand last year, though have avoided further punishment after an incident on a night out before a game.
Brook was previously fined after he was involved in an altercation with a night-club bouncer in Wellington before the third ODI last October having been out with teammates Bethell and Josh Tongue .
The Cricket Regulator, the body responsible for monitoring compliance with the game’s regulations, has now concluded its investigations after the pair admitted they were in breach.
Brook and Bethell have thus been issued a Caution Notice, with no further action taken in relation to Tongue.
The two batters featured in the third ODI in which England were beaten by two wickets, while Tongue did not.
White-ball captain Brook has since apologised both for the incident, details of which emerged at the end of England’s Ashes defeat, and subsequently for suggesting he had been alone at the time, rather than out with colleagues.
“I accept responsibility for my actions in Wellington and acknowledge others were present that evening," said Brook ahead of the T20 World Cup.
"I regret my previous comments and my intention was to protect my team-mates from being drawn into a situation that arose as a result of my own decisions.
"I have apologised and will continue to reflect on the matter.
This has been a challenging period in my career, but one from which I am learning.
"I recognise I have more to learn regarding the off-field responsibilities that come with leadership and captaincy.
I remain committed to developing in this area and to improving both personally and professionally."
