Joe Wicks has said he would be up for appearing in beloved cartoon series Peppa Pig after being named Daddy Pig’s official coach for the London Marathon .
The fitness expert, 40, has been training the dad-of-three — set to appear as a costumed runner on marathon day — for the past three months ahead of the iconic 26.2-mile race and will run alongside him on April 26 to help raise money and awareness for the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS).
It comes after Daddy Pig decided to take on the challenge after son George Pig was recently diagnosed as being moderately deaf .
According to the NDCS, more than 54,000 children in the UK are affected by hearing loss, with Daddy Pig aiming to raise £54,000 for deaf children and their families.
Wicks, who launched his own children’s fitness series Activate in 2022, said he would happily join the Peppa Pig world if given the chance.
“I would love that,” he said, when asked whether he might appear in the cartoon.
“That would be so fun to see myself in that world, but because it’s just animals, I don’t think I can pop up.
But he’s obviously in my world now as Daddy Pig.
“I’d love that though.
But I’ve got my own animation, so I’m happy with that.”
Wicks said he and Daddy Pig — already a record-holding muddy puddle jumper — would be tackling the marathon together, revealing they would be “jeffing” their way around the course.
“We’re going to be doing it together, me and Daddy Pig, and we’ll be jeffing it — that’s run, walk, run,” he said.
“Rather than thinking we’ve got to do the whole thing in one go, we’re going to break it into chunks.
That means we can wave, cheer and take a few selfies, and make it a really fun day.”
The Body Coach admitted he had initially questioned whether Daddy Pig had the discipline for the challenge, but said he had been proved wrong after 12 weeks of training.
“I was unsure of his commitment and discipline, but he’s really proved to me that when he sets his mind on something — especially with meaning behind it — it’s been amazing,” he said.
“We’ve been training three times a week — a strength session, a longer run at the weekend, and an interval session during the week.”
Wicks also said he hopes the campaign will inspire more families to get active together, highlighting initiatives such as Parkrun.
“It’d be great to get the whole Pig family out one day for a Parkrun — it’s really accessible,” he said.
“A lot of people who come have never done anything like that before, and it shows families that even if they’re out of shape or short on money, they can still take part because it’s free.”
Wicks said Daddy Pig’s fitness had improved so much he was left struggling to keep up during one recent session.
“I filmed with him yesterday and I was having to keep up with him — he left me on the bridge,” he said.
“We ran across Westminster Bridge and I was like, hang on a minute, I should be training you.
“But he’s really built his fitness, so I’m confident he’s going to finish the race.
He’ll probably be ahead of me as well.”

The dad-of-four added that his own children are already excited to see him team up with one of the country’s best-known cartoon characters.
“They saw some photos of me with Daddy Pig in London and just think it’s hilarious,” he said.
“He’s a big character, taller than me — it’s visual, bright and colourful.
They’re really excited and they’re going to come and watch as well.”
Fans will be able to track Daddy Pig’s progress via the official London Marathon app and donate through his Enthuse fundraising page .
Daddy Pig will also run the London Marathon in a special episode of Peppa Pig, which airs on Milkshake on April 18.
