Jude Law’s ex, Catherine Harding, has revealed her 11-year-old daughter, Ada, didn’t even try to speak to Chappell Roan amid massive backlash.

The Pink Pony Club singer, who is known for asserting her privacy with both paparazzi and fans, was at the same hotel as the family when the little girl spotted her.

Footballer Jorginho Frello, who is the stepdad to Ada, claimed she was reduced to tears when a security guard berated her for invading Chappell’s privacy at breakfast.

Chappell, 29, has since posted a video stating the guard was not her personal security, adding she was ‘sorry’ to Catherine and Ada and they ‘did not deserve that’.

However, the protective mum has now hit back at The Subway singer’s claims, stating the man ‘100% wasn’t a security guard of the hotel’.

‘He looks after artists,’ Catherine stated in her video on Instagram, explaining that she had a lot of messages asking if the incident was ‘true’.

She continued: ‘Now I don’t know if he’s her personal security guard, but he was with her, so that is all I know.

Did she send him to do it?

Again, I don’t know, I would like to hope not.

‘But at the same time, you have a responsibility when you are a celebrity that the people who work for you and act on your behalf are acting on your behalf.

‘So would he do that if he didn’t have her authority?

I don’t know.

If he does, that’s a big problem.

because then he is representing her in a way she doesn’t want to be represented.’
It’s currently unclear who exactly the guard worked for but he was described by Catherine as ‘aggressive and intimidating’.

She claimed he berated her for being a ‘bad parent’, adding: ‘He said we should not harass people and all these other things.

‘I did try to explain to him that he was a child and she was just excited to see an artist she liked.’
Catherine said that Chappell’s claims she ‘didn’t notice anything’ were accurate, as Ada did not even say hi to the star; she simply went outside to look.

‘[My daughter] didn’t have her phone, she didn’t try to take a picture, she didn’t do anything, she just looked at [Chappell] and smiled’, she said.

When Ada came back to the table, she was unsure if it even was the Casual singer, as Chappell is known for wearing theatrical stage makeup.

It was then that the security guard came over and lectured the pair, with Catherine claiming he ignored her explanations.

‘I hope [Chappell] did not know, I hope she did not send her security over to do this.

I really think she is a very, very talented artist.

We liked her a lot.

We came all the way to São Paulo to watch her show,’ she continued.

‘It was [Ada’s] birthday present, she asked for tickets, it was a little bit ruined because we didn’t go to the show last night but that’s how it is’.

Instead, the family met up with Lewis Capaldi at Lollapalooza with Catherine posting on her Instagram about how ‘kind’ the Bruises singer was.

The disappointed mum ended her video by saying that if this wasn’t Chappell’s doing, she hoped that ‘maybe she learns not to allow the people who work for her not to treat people like this’.
