The family of a young man stabbed to death in Leyton have said “he put a smile on the faces of even those who did not know him”.
Suhayb Abdulkadir, 24, died in St George’s Road after being stabbed on Thursday.
Two men were due in court on Monday accused of his murder .
Mr Abdulkadir’s family released a picture of him as they issued a statement paying tribute.
They said: “Suhayb lit up every room he entered and put a smile on the faces of even those who did not know him.
"He was an amazing uncle to his niece, honourable brother to his siblings and dutiful son to his mother.
"Although his death has been devastating, it has been heart-warming to hear the many stories from people from all walks of life sharing the massive impact he has had on them.
"His presence, warmth and kindness will never be forgotten and he has left an everlasting impact on all of those who were fortunate to know him.
"We love you immensely, Suhayb, more than you know, and we cannot wait for you to be reunited with your brother.”
Police were called to at around 12:40am on April 23, following reports of an altercation between a group of people in the east London street.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, Mr Abdulkadir was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next-of-kin continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
Four men were arrested that evening on suspicion of murder.
One man has been bailed, another released under investigation, and two have been charged with murder.
Abdullahi Abdi, 24 of Lincoln Street, Leytonstone, and Hanet Ahmed, 25, were due to appear at Thames Magistrates Court on Monday.
Police continue to appeal for information in relation to the fatal stabbing.
