EastEnders spoilers follow for Wednesday’s (April 22) episode, which is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
A number of lives are on the line after a cataclysmic car crash in EastEnders.

Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) was driving Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) to the hospital in secret, with children Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) and Avani (Aaliyah James) in the back seats.

Ravi, as viewers know, is having a mental health crisis and has been self-harming, with Priya determined to do everything she can to support him.

This week, the situation escalated further, with Ravi unable to sleep and on the rare occasion he does, he wakes believing that he’s in danger, which resulted in him in unintentionally grabbing Priya by the arm, which left him devastated.

Believing his enemies are out to get him, Ravi bought a host of new locks, which he attached to the flat door, ordering his partner and kids to stay put.

Priya, meanwhile, devised a plan, telling Ravi that they’re not safe at the flat and that it would be in their best interests to flee Walford.

After obtaining a car from the car lot, Priya loaded her family inside the vehicle, with the intention of driving Ravi to the hospital.

On the way there, however, Rav spotted as sign for the hospital and grew agitated.

Nugget, meanwhile, had a seizure in the back seat, with Priya leaning back to her see her son, taking her eyes off the road.

At this moment, Max Branning (Jake Wood) and Cindy Beale (Michelle Colins) were driving back from a mixer for Jimmy.

They’d had a fun evening together and the chemistry between them was electric – but tragedy soon struck as they encountered Priya’s car on the road.

Priya swiftly tried to swerve out of the way but it was too late, with both vehicles colliding, leaving lives on the line as a result.

The question is: will everyone be okay?

Does anyone die in the EastEnders car crash?

Both families are left shaken in the wake of the crash but it seems no-one dies, with spoilers confirming that the passengers of the two vehicles make it out alive.

Max tends to Cindy in the aftermath of the collision and is left relieved that she’s okay, with the former flames sharing something of a tender moment at the hospital.

Priya, meanwhile, returns to Walford in search of Ravi, whose whereabouts remain unknown.

She locates him on the bridge and, in emotional scenes, makes him see that he needs help.

Next week, Ravi is in the mental health unit, where he’s diagnosed with complex PTSD.

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One or stream from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
