The New York Jetsrecently reunited with Geno Smith to be their starting quarterback in 2026.

Smith's career has come full circle to where it once failed.

Smith will be inheriting Garrett Wilson as his No.

1 wide receiver this time around.

If Smith is to experience success in East Rutherford this time around, he'll have to possess excellent chemistry with Wilson.

Wilson is a quarterback-friendly target who runs savvy routes and quickly uncovers.

Smith sounds excited about having him at his disposal.

Smith recently spoke with local members of Jets media.

Asked about Wilson, he gushed over his new go-to target, calling him a top 10 wide receiver in the NFL.

"A true No.

1, Top 10 receiver in this league," Smith told reporters.

Everybody knows what he can do.

It's my job to get him the ball and get him the ball early, get him the touches he needs."

Smith is a legitimate gunslinger at quarterback.

He threw for 3,025 yards with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2025.

He's twice thrown for 4,000-plus yards.

He's probably going to pepper Wilson with targets moving forward.

Wilson began his NFL career with three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons despite lackluster quarterback play.

His 2025 season was totally derailed by injury, finishing with 36 receptions for 395 yards and four touchdowns in just eight appearances.

Wilson should get back on track with Smith as his quarterback in 2026.
