Peter Andre asks ex Katie Price: ‘Are you genuinely happy?’ after latest marriage

Peter Andre has weighed in with his verdict on ex-wife Katie Price’s quickie marriage to Lee Andrews.

Fans were left in a state of shock earlier this year when the former glamour model, 47, got engaged to self-proclaimed businessman Lee, 42, just two days after meeting him in Dubai.

After Lee popped the question, it marked Katie’s ninth engagement and subsequently her fourth marriage, all of which have been incredibly public, not to mention dramatic, over the years.

Her first husband was, of course, Australian pop star Peter, whom she met in the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

They were married from 2005 to 2009, welcoming son Junior, now 20, and daughter Princess, 18, during that time.

And while the fallout of their divorce has lasted for almost 20 years with various mud-slinging in the press from either side, the Mysterious Girl hitmaker now has a question to ask his former spouse about her latest romance.

Peter, 53, who married NHS doctor Emily MacDonagh, 36, in 2015, was recently asked by The Sun what he makes of Katie’s new husband.

He replied: ‘So my thing to Kate is, “Are you genuinely happy?” And if you are, then that’s great.’
‘Who am I to tell someone what they should or shouldn’t be doing,’ Peter added.

‘Or even giving an opinion about it?’
‘I want her to be happy,’ he stated.

His comments follow the release of a joint statement in February, in which he and Katie essentially called a truce and vowed to ‘move forward’.

‘Katie Price and Peter Andre have decided to close the door on the past and move forward into a new chapter with positivity and respect,’ the message, which was posted to both of their Instagram Stories, began.

‘We are both focused on creating a calm and supportive environment for our children.

They concluded that they ‘want to stand united for [their] children’, hoping to now start ‘a positive relationship’.

‘We ask for understanding and support from both the media and the public as we move ahead.’
And things appear to only be getting better for the exes, as Peter has even spoken to Lee over FaceTime.

Katie told The Sun last month that she was on a call with Princess when she was with her dad, so she put him on.

‘It was the first time in nine years I’ve seen him,’ Katie revealed.

‘I was having dinner with Lee at the time, and it was surreal – I was like, “Oh, hello, ex-husband, welcome to my new husband!”‘
Katie added that it was rather strange to see them both having ‘a nice chat’.

‘I was like, “What the f**k is going on here?!”‘
Katie’s marriage to Lee has been turbulent so far, to say the least, what with question marks remaining over his career and so-called multi-millionaire status, plus ex-girlfriends making accusations of him ‘conning’ them, which he has fiercely denied.

Lee is also said to be stuck in Dubai following a jail stint for alleged fraud, resulting in him being unable to leave the country; hence, Katie is always the one to fly out to him.

What’s more, Katie’s teenage children had to find out their mum was engaged again via a WhatsApp message, with Princess admitting the whole thing was ‘impulsive on a whole other level’, even for Katie.

However, the reality TV queen is adamant that Lee is the real deal, both sporting matching tattoos of the other’s name to represent their commitment, and Katie repeatedly firing back at Lee’s ‘jealous’ and ‘bitter’ exes.

She’s also declared that ‘one day’ she’ll be pregnant with his baby.

Hitting out at critics previously as she filmed herself packing for another trip to the United Arab Emirates, Katie told her YouTube channel: ‘I’m fully aware, like everyone else; I see stuff; I get sent stuff.

What I want everyone to know is I’m a grown a**e woman.

‘I’m 48 this year.

I’m not a young kid.

I’ve learned a lot in the past few years, through therapy and learning to love myself.

‘So I’m not stupid; I know what I’m doing, and if I’m happy, that’s all that matters.’
