Prince Edward and his wife Sophie had to stay in a nearby “holiday let” cottage at Sandringham over the Easter break because Andrew allegedly ‘refuses to move’, sources claim.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were planning on staying at Wood Farm on the far edge of the 20,000 acre estate, but were reportedly forced to stay at Gardens House instead.

Prince Edward, 62, visited his older brother about his planned move to the neighbouring Marsh House, according to The Sun newspaper , amid concerns he was “dragging his heels”.

“He is just going back and forth between Wood Farm and Marsh Farm.

“It’s got to be sorted as Edward and Sophie like to use Wood Farm.”
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is currently living at Wood Farm following his eviction earlier this year from the Royal Lodge in Windsor.

It is understood Andrew will move into Marsh Farm in the coming days as preparations are almost complete.

Gardens House, which can cost up to £4,110 per week during peak season, was formerly the residence of the estate’s head gardener.

The cottage accommodates up to eight people and is located approximately 300 yards from Sandringham House.

Two people got out and proceeded to scale the exterior gate before attempting to peer over a newly erected 6ft fence in front of the farmhouse.

But they didn't stay for long as Andrew's security was quick to react and defused the situation before the pair jumped back in their car and drove off.
