Raye has just released her new album, and fans are already screaming for more but she’ll only return to the studio on one condition.
This Music May Contain Hope has stormed charts, earning over 15,950,000 Spotify streams in the first 24hours.
It’s been hailed as a contender for album of the year, with famously harsh review site Pitchfork awarding it an unprecedented score of 9.9/10.
Expectations were already high for the Brit Awards record holder, whose last album swept up six awards in one night, the most by any artist in one year.
Raye took to TikTok in a livestream to celebrate her well-earned success, revealing she already knows what her follow-up album will be titled.
‘My third album is going to be called And Then She Fell In Love, and I’m not going to write a single song of that album until I fall in love,’ she declared.
She continued, according to The Sun: ‘It’s enough “I’m single”, “This guy done me wrong”, “This sucks about this and that”, songs.
I’m tired of writing songs like that.
The end.
‘I will fall in love, and then I’ll write an album, and every song is going to be like, “I love love, I’m in love, Love for ever, She’s in love, It’s a lovely day to be loved”.’
Raye’s new album includes songs like Beware… The South London Lover Boy and The WhatsApp Shakespeare about dating woes.
The lead single and breakout hit Where Is My Husband was initially released late last year and is still one of the major anthems on social media.
It was the first number one song of 2026 after Taylor Swift’s The Fate of Ophelia domination of the singles chart finally eased.
Even the Cruel Summer singer herself could be seen dancing to the track during Raye’s performance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles.
She seized the opportunity to make a very pointed gesture towards her future spouse, Travis Kelce, who had attended the event with her.
Cameras repeatedly cut to the couple as Taylor flashed her sparkling engagement ring and dramatically sang, ‘Baby, where the hell is my husband?’
Her enthusiastic dancing beside him and clearly happy mood attracted Raye’s attention as she pointed to the couple at the end of the track.

Taylor previously picked Raye to be one of the openers when her record-breaking Eras Tour stopped at Wembley, performing before Paramore.
Taylor and Travis began dating in September 2023, months after he attended the mammoth tour and failed to gift her a friendship bracelet with his number on it.
A source told The Sun that they are also treating their honeymoon as a ‘major priority’.
‘They have been planning this for weeks and have already informed friends and family that they will be “off the grid” during this time,’ said an insider.
‘Unless there is an emergency, they want to limit outside contact to truly immerse themselves in this once-in-a-lifetime experience before Travis returns to the football field.’
Maybe Taylor, who has been known to matchmake on occasion, can help change the prophecy and set her up with the future Mr Raye.
Until then, we’ll be listening to This Music May Contain Hope on repeat.
