More networking deals:
- TP-Link Deco X55 AX3000 WiFi 6 Mesh System for $149.99 (was $190)
- TP-Link AX1800 WiFi 6 Router (Archer AX21) for $52.20 (was $80)
- TP-Link BE6500 WiFi 7 Router (Archer BE400) for $129.98 (was $180)
- TP-Link BE3600 Wi-Fi 7 Router (Archer BE230) for $86.98 (was $120)
- TP-Link Litewave 5 Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch for $8.98 (was $17)
On the wireless side, this system supports tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with MLO, which means it can work simultaneously across all three bands (2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz).
The BE1000 being a Wi-Fi router can utilize 320MHz channels on the 6GHz band, which is not possible with WiFi 6e.
In terms of actual bandwidth performance, TP-Link claims up to 10Gbps, although real world numbers are closer to 2Gbps under ideal circumstances, which is 2X faster than gigabit, the previous gold standard.
On the wired side, each satellite has four 2.5Gbps ethernet ports that support wired backhaul for improved mesh networking performance.
If you're one of the lucky ones who is signed up for fiber optic or other ISP provider with higher-than-gigabit internet, then you'll want a router with 2.5Gbps ports to take full advantage of the extra bandwidth.
Although there are other routers with 5Gbps or 10Gbps ports, they are prohibitively more expensive
I should also mention that your window to purchase networking products from TP-Link may be closing soon.
According to PCMag and other news outlets, the sale of new foreign-made Wi-Fi routers are now banned in the US, including products from TP-Link.
This only applies to the sale of new products, not existing ones that are already available on the market.
Once this model gets replaced by a newer SKU, you may find it harder to get one here in the States.
