The heartbreaking final words of Primrose Hill murder victim Finbar O’Sullivan have been revealed.

The 21-year-old was killed when a fight broke out at the beauty spot on Tuesday evening, which witnesses said occurred in front of horrified onlookers enjoying the sunshine.

Police quickly launched an investigation into the stabbing, with officers examining footage circulating online that appears to show the lead-up to the killing, although no arrests have yet been made.

Finbar’s devastated father, Christopher Sullivan, founder of the Wag Club in Soho, has since paid tribute to his “lovely outgoing boy”, with whom he lived in Maida Vale, north London.

Speaking to The Times, Mr Sullivan said: “I called my son Finbar because I knew he was going to become famous and wanted him to have a name that everyone would know.

“I never thought it would be on the front pages because of his own murder.”
The 65-year-old added that he is living in “hell” and is completely “heartbroken” by the loss of his son, whom he described as “like an angel”.

Mr Sullivan, founder of the 1980s band Blue Rondo à la Turk, said that his son’s final words as he left the flat on Tuesday were “love you, Padge, see you later.”
Mr Sullivan said Finbar had told him he would be back later to cook dinner.

“He called me Padge after Madge in the Simpsons,” Mr Sullivan added.

Mr Sullivan added that his son had gone to Primrose Hill that day “to do a bit of filming” with a new camera he had been given for his 21st birthday.

Finbar was following in the footsteps of his maternal grandfather, Michael Seresin, a cinematographer who worked on films including Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and his mother, Leah Sullivan, who is a filmmaker in New Zealand.

Mr Sullivan received a call from a friend at 6.40pm to tell him that Finbar had been hurt.

He took an Uber straight to Primrose Hill, but on arrival found a police cordon in place that he was unable to get through.

After identifying himself to officers, Mr Sullivan said a CID officer came over to speak with him and told him that his son had died.

Mr Sullivan said he was told Finbar had sustained multiple stab wounds, including a fatal wound to his leg that severed an artery.

Detectives appealed for a key witness—a young woman or teenager—to come forward in connection with the fatal stabbing, and she has done.

She has not committed any offences and is being treated as a significant witness, police say.

Officers were called at 18:41hrs to reports of a fight at the viewpoint in Primrose Hill.

Upon arrival, police and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service found Finbar, 21, with stab wounds.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, he sadly died at the scene.

Another man, believed to be in his 20s, was found nearby on Regent’s Park Road.

He was taken to hospital by paramedics with stab wounds.

His injures have since been confirmed as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing.
