It was a matter of time before Jodie Ramsey’s (Olivia Frances-Brown) shady past caught up with her.

Now she’s brought trouble to the Platts’ doorstep, Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) will pay the price.

Jodie is not the best house guest – mainly because she been trying to turn her sister Shona’s family against her ever since she moved into Number 8 Coronation Street.

W
hether she’s attempting to seduce her husband David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) or pouring poison in her daughter Lily Platt’s (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) ear, the bunning-boiling baddie has been gunning for Shona nonstop due to a vendetta going back all the way to their troubled upbringing.

Although Jodie has a knack for scheming and plotting, she’s not exactly focused.

Her mystery box filled with trinkets stolen from the neighbours kept viewers guessing what Weatherfield’s answer to Fatal Attraction was up to.

Not only did she sneak into Bernie Winter’s (Jane Hazlegrove) house to cut Bernie’s face out of her wedding pictures, but she also stole a book from Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) and Lisa Swain’s (Vicky Myers) police badge just to scare a child into handing over their iPad.
With all the chaos Jodie’s caused on the Cobbles, frankly it’s a miracle that somebody’s not bumped her off.

Be careful what you wish for.

Corrie’s Whodunnit murder mystery is almost upon us, and Jodie is one of five Weatherfield villains who might be for the chop.

The demise of Miss Ramsay seems more likely by the episode, as this week’s trip to Coronation Street saw the devious villain confronted by an unwelcome face from her past – Olivia, one of the children that Jodie used to look after back in her nannying days.

It seems like Jodie taught Olivia everything she knows, because she caught the troublesome teen red-handed ransacking her belongings, searching for a mysterious hard drive that belonged to her father – something we’ve already seen in Jodie’s trinket box.

After Jodie kicked her out, Olivia reported back to a couple of heavies sitting in a fancy car outside, admitting that she had failed to find the hard drive.

The thugs vowed to do anything that Olivia’s dad deemed necessary in order to get that hard drive back from Jodie.

It’s fair to say that Jodie’s employer is one seriously bad bloke.

In fact, given the fact that she escaped from the back of a van belonging to Emmerdale’s baddest butler,  Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough), it’s not a stretch to assume that Olivia’s dad could be the mysterious client whose ‘contract’ Graham cancelled.

If Jodie’s employer is the same man who hired Graham, then she is in very grave danger…
A shaky Jodie led Shona to believe that Olivia’s dad is a violent ex boyfriend, explaining that she stole it from him and he wants her dead.

Sick with dread, Shona pointed out that now Olivia knows where she lives, her Dad could show up at any time.

She pleaded with her sister to leave immediately Weatherfield immediately before it’s too late.

Spoiler – it’s too late.

In next week’s Coronation Street, Jodie’s plans to flee are scuppered when her past finally catches up with her, prompting a bombshell of a secret to drop.
As Jodie prepares to leave Weatherfield in the dust, she’s stopped dead in her tracks when she hears Shona screaming.

Rushing outside, she finds her sister being assaulted by two men.

In a refreshing change of pace, Jodie does the right thing for once and gives the thugs the hard drive in return for sparing her sister.

In the aftermath, Jodie’s devastated.

Seeing her upset, Shona asks her to stay.

But then Jodie finds a letter… the letter she sent Shona as a child.

The letter Shona claimed she never received.

According to Shona, she never bothered to reach out or return because she was never contacted by Jodie.

But this letter is proof that Shona deliberately chose not to keep contact with her sister.

The betrayal fills Jodie with rage, prompting her to undertake her most reckless, diabolical action yet…
