Silksong's Sea of Sorrow expansion, Team Cherry have gotten their Traditional Chinese and German translation ducks in a row

This patch is intended to be the "last significant" stop before the sea gets sorrowful
Hollow Knight: Silksong devs Team Cherry have put out what they're aiming to be the "last significant update" prior to the Metroidvania's first major expansion, Sea of Sorrow , arriving at some point this year.

As with a fair few of Skong's post-launch patches, it's largely focused on translations .

As detailed in the notes for Patch 5 , which is already live for us PC folks, Silksong 's now got a Traditional Chinese translation.

It's been put together by a translator going by craft/indienova, who's worked with Silksong Simplified Chinese translators Team Cart Fix to deliver something that lore accurate and consistent with the latter translators' work.

Meanwhile, Silksong's German script has had a once over and "received significant updates" from original Hollow Knight translator Tobias Gut, with the main focus being "clarifying narrative elements to better align with the English intent" and making sure the Skong translation meshes with the first game.

As of right now, Sea of Sorrow's not got a concrete release date beyond Team Cherry having said it's coming this year.

However, if this is the last big update ahead of it, the expansion surely can't be too far off.
