Canadian actress Carrie Anne Fleming, known for her roles in Supernatural and iZombie, among others, has died aged 51.
Jim Beaver, 75, who starred as Bobby Singer in US TV series Supernatural, while she played his wife, Karen Singer, confirmed the news.
He told Variety that she died from complications of breast cancer last month in Sidney, British Columbia.
His and Fleming’s roles in Supernatural formed part of the show’s extended narrative, with the series gaining a significant following.
Fleming had a passion for performing from an early age, as she studied drama at the Kaleidoscope Theatre and the Kidco Theatre Dance Company.
After graduating, she began modelling to help support her family.
When acting came along, Fleming had early breakout roles on the show Viper, which debuted in 1994, and in Adam Sandler’s 1996 movie Happy Gilmore.
From there, she took on smaller roles before being cast in Masters of Horror (2005) by director Dario Argento.
She played Jenifer, who had her own titular episode.
Her character was facially disfigured, but also a demonic temptress who lured men in and drove them to their demise.
Her portrayal would lead to Fleming securing other horror jobs, appearing in TV movie Bloodsuckers (2005) and The Tooth Fairy (2006).
Most recently, she appeared in the 2015 television film The Unauthorized Full House Story, which depicted the making of the sitcom Full House.
She also played Candy Baker in CW’s iZombie for five seasons.
The programme was a commercial and cult success for the network, running from 2015 to 2019.
Developed by Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright, it gained praise for blending crime procedural, comedy, and horror.
The series built a loyal fanbase and strong streaming audience, with critics highlighting its originality, writing, and performances, particularly Rose McIver’s lead role, helping it stand out among comic book adaptations.
Fleming’s other TV credits include Supergirl, UnREAL, Knights of Bloodsteel, The 4400, The L Word, and Smallville.
Away from screen work, she performed in stage productions including Noises Off, Romeo and Juliet, Steel Magnolias, and Fame, contributing to theatre productions in British Columbia.
A memorial service is due to be announced at a later date.

iZombie and Supernatural—she was part of shows that mattered.
RIP to a real one.
She had talent and those characters stuck with people.
That’s the impact she leaves’, posted @LarrryOmooba.
