A teenage boy was seriously injured after the bike he was cycling was struck by a car in Co Galway earlier this week.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the incident, which took place in Claregalway on the N83 at around 8pm on Tuesday evening.
The boy was brought to University Hospital Galway, where he is being treated for his injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
A technical examination of the scene was carried and the road has since reopened.
Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage between Loughgeorge and Claregalway between 8pm and 8.30pm are asked to make it available to gardaí.
