The Inbetweeners 'returns as bosses sign a multi-million-pound streaming deal'

The Inbetweeners is reportedly coming to Netflix , with a new project in the works.

According to entertainment insiders, creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley have hashed out a deal with the streaming giant to bring the coming-of-age hit back.

However, rather than the classic E4 series, it looks like the next segment of The Inbetweeners story will be more of a Blockbuster production.

It’s understood that a multi-million-pound streaming deal has been struck, bringing back the four famous friends for another film.

At this point, there’s not much information about what the new film project will involve, but it is anticipated that all four stars will be invited to star in the film, as well as original cast members like Emily Atack.

Sources confirming the news to The Sun said: “Inbetweeners fans will be thrilled and relieved because when talk of a reboot emerged last year, there were fears it might not turn out to be a telly project.”
The Inbetweeners originally aired on E4 between 2008 and 2010 and followed the misadventures of teenager Will MacKenzie and his friends Simon Cooper, Neil Sutherland, and Jay Cartwright.

It became an instant phenomenon among young adults across the UK, spawning cult-classic quotes (ooh friends) and even a movie.

Rumours of a return have been in the works for some while.

In 2024, the stars of the show confirmed that reunion talks had happened though refrained from giving away too many details about the project.

British actor Thomas admitted at the time that the cast were all open to the idea of reuniting.

In 2025, reports then revealed that a new deal between Banijay UK and Fudge Park Productions, the company founded by the series’ writers and creators, had been signed, paving the way for its potential return across film, TV and stage.
