Threat wide receiver prospect RaJa Nelson

March has been a kind month to the New Orleans Saints, with the franchise bringing in multiple core contributors through free agency that will likely have huge positive ramifications on their roster.

This has set them up in a good position heading into draft day, as they filled a few positions of need and made things a bit easier ahead of April's 2026 NFL Draft.

The Saints got better at running back by signing Travis Etienne Jr.

and improved their offensive line with left guard David Edwards.

Demario Davis handed off to his former backup Kaden Elliss at linebacker, too.

Two of the more likely positions that will be addressed at some point throughout the draft are wide receiver and cornerback, with the team meeting with multiple prospects at each position.

Makai Lemon of USC was one of the team's first visits early in the process, and now they are meeting with slot wideout RaJa Nelson from North Dakota State.

In 2025, he posted 28 receptions for 404 yards (14.4 average) and 4 touchdowns, along with 8 kickoff returns for 168 yards.

While his production tapered off later in the season, his first three games of the year were outstanding, picking up 9 receptions for 125 yards and 4 touchdowns in that span.

With the Saints desperately needing some additions at the position ahead of the 2026 season, Nelson could be one player they take a look at as April rolls around.
