The following article contains spoilers from the episode of Coronation Street dated April 7.

It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.

Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) is seriously struggling with his mental health in the aftermath of exposing Megan Walsh’s (Beth Nixon) secret in Coronation Street.

Sam became determined to prove Megan was abusing Will, but found it increasingly difficult due to both of them working hard to keep the secret hidden.

While manipulating Will, Megan also began to target Sam and attack his self-esteem.

She chipped away at his confidence and made him believe that even if he did tell someone about what she’s doing with Will, no-one would think he was telling the truth.

As he became consumed with worry over what Megan was doing, Sam started to feel withdrawn from his loved ones.

Leanne picked up on this, but didn’t discover the extent of Sam’s struggles until he reached a crisis point and was rushed to hospital.

After Sam collapsed, Leanne learnt about Megan abusing Will, and how the school teacher was threatening him into keeping quiet.

In the aftermath of Megan’s secret getting exposed, Sam has tried to move forward, but he’s struggling with the fact the Driscoll family’s world has been turned upside down.

Someone who has also added to Sam’s anxieties is Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan).

After a conversation with Daniel, Sam was left worried when Hope implied that Daniel was still with Megan, and was trying to be nice to him just to get information that he can later tell his girlfriend.

The fact that Megan hid in plain sight has left Sam deeply worried about just who he can trust.

In today’s episode, his determination to protect himself from any threat saw him confront Will about his apparent campaign of intimidation.

Will was with Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) at the time, and pretended that he didn’t know what Sam was on about.

When he returned to the pub later in the afternoon, Will updated Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) and Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) and stated Sam was making the comments for no good reason.

Curious, Eva headed to the pub to speak with Leanne, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor).

They were all on Sam’s side, unsurprisingly, and suggested to Eva that she keeps Will away from Sam for a while.

Outside, Sam headed through the street with some chips.

In the corner of his eye he spied Will, who proceeded to chase after him.

Will Sam tell anyone about these visions?

Or are things only going to get worse?
