Two British people are self-isolating after returning to the UK from the cruise ship suffering a hantavirus outbreak.
The unknown pair returned independently from the MV Hondius, according to the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA).
Another British man, Martin Antsee, is currently in isoliation in hospital in the Netherlands after being evacuated when he started showing symptoms.
The retired police officer told Sky News: ‘I’m doing okay.
I’m not feeling to bad.
There are still lots of tests to be done.
I have no idea how long I’ll be in the hospital for.’
There were 19 British passengers and four British crew listed as being on the ship which was sailing from Argentina to Cape Verde.
They will be told to isolate for 45 days when they return.
Three people are now known to have died after contracting the rat-born illness, possibly during a visit to a landfill site while bird watching.
Among them are a Dutch couple, both aged 69.
