A man and a woman have died and three people, including a child, were taken to hospital following a "suspicious" explosion at a house in Bristol in England.
Avon and Somerset Police declared a major incident after the explosion at around 6.30am today.
Officers are also carrying out enquiries at another property which is linked to the man who died.
The cause of the explosion is being treated as suspicious, the force said, but not as a suspected terrorist event.
Superintendent Matt Ebbs told reporters in an update this afternoon: "A woman and a man have died at the address and we're treating the explosion as suspicious.
"Three people - a man, a woman and a child - were taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries."
Supt Ebbs said: "A cordon was put in place to protect the public and to allow inquiries to be carried out at the scene.
"This included specialist searches carried out by the British Army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal, as a precaution.
"People living within the cordon were evacuated to a temporary rest centre."
