Whole Foods Market has unveiled plans to open six new stores in London by June this year.

The Amazon-owned supermarket chain said the new locations would include The Mall in Angel, Wood Wharf in Canary Wharf and Notting Hill Gate.

It follows the opening of a store in King’s Road in Chelsea last year.

The stores will open on various dates between April and June this year.

Jason Buechel, the chief executive of Whole Foods Market said: "We're happy to be expanding Whole Foods Market's physical store presence in the UK, allowing us to reach more customers with our uncompromising quality standards and carefully curated selection of natural and organic products.

At the openings of the stores in Angel, Wood Wharf and St.

James, the company will make a food donation to The Felix Project .

The Felix Project ’s social kitchen Felix’s Kitchen, which opened in July 2021 in Tower Hamlets, was set up as part of the Standard’s Food for London now appeal.

The stores will offer a range of organic and fresh produce, alongside prepared foods such as salads, sandwiches and hot meals.

Shoppers can also find meat and sustainable seafood, fresh bakery items and speciality foods, including cheeses, charcuterie, and a curated selection of beers, wines and spirits.

Additional departments include wellness and beauty products, plus exclusive items ranging from drinks to flowers and plants.
