Comedian Bill Bailey and broadcaster Richard Osman will be among the latest stars to receive honours at Windsor Castle on Tuesday.

Some 67 people, including celebrity chef Marcus Wareing , are due to receive their honours from the Princess Royal .

Musician and comedian Bailey, whose real name is Mark Bailey, was made an MBE in the New Year Honours for services to entertainment.

Bailey’s big break came in 1995 when his show Bill Bailey’s Cosmic Jam, which was filmed and broadcast on Channel 4, won the Edinburgh Festival Critics Award.

The 61-year-old scooped his own BBC comedy show – Is It Bill Bailey?

– in 1998 and went on to regularly appear on shows such as Have I Got News for You and QI.

In 2020, Bailey was crowned the oldest winner of Strictly Come dancing, when he lifted the glitterball trophy aged 55, alongside professional dancer Oti Mabuse.

Former Pointless presenter Osman was made an OBE for services to literature and broadcasting.

The 55-year-old ventured into the world of crime fiction with the release of the first instalment of the hit Thursday Murder Club series in 2020.

The six books follow a group of pensioners-turned-sleuths living in a retirement village in Kent, who join together to investigate cold cases and solve murders.

Last year, the story hit the small screen when a film adaption starring Pierce Brosnan and Dame Helen Mirren was released on Netflix.

Osman’s honour comes after it was announced that actor and soon-to-be Celebrity Traitors star Michael Sheen will succeed him as presenter of BBC Two’s House Of Games.

Restaurateur and long-standing MasterChef: The Professionals judge Wareing was made an MBE for services to the culinary arts and broadcasting.

The 55-year-old, from Southport, began his culinary career aged 18, when he moved to London to work at The Savoy.

The Michelin-starred chef went on to establish several restaurants in London, including Marcus at The Berkeley in Knightsbridge, which closed in 2023.

In 2006, Wareing served a custard tart to the late Queen Elizabeth II at a lunch held to celebrate her 80th birthday.

Also among those to be honoured on Tuesday will be Olympic climbing champion Toby Roberts, 21, who has been made an MBE.

He secured Team GB’s first Olympic climbing title, winning gold in the boulder and lead event at Paris 2024.
