Coronation Street video shows horror moment Theo closes in on Todd

Just as Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) is about to leave Coronation Street for Thailand, he gets a very unwelcome visitor – his abusive ex.

If anyone deserves a break, it’s Todd.

The past year has been one long living hell at the hands of his toxic husband, Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), a raging, narcissist who routinely subjected him to horrendous levels of emotional, financial and physical abuse.

With the support and encouragement of his loved ones, Todd found the strength to leave Theo last week, resulting in a terrifying attack.
After a violent beating from his so-called partner left him bloodied and beaten, Todd made on officially reported Theo’s abuse to the police and was eventually granted a restraining order.

Theo is pretty much persona non grata on the Cobbles.

Not only has Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) threatened to arrest him if he so much breathes in Todd’s direction, both George Shuttleworth and Gary have made threats against the abuser’s life...

which is the last thing Theo wants to hear, since he’s one of five potential murder victims in Corrie’s upcoming Whodunnit.

After Todd phoned his mum to tell her about the abuse, George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) convinced him that some time away staying with Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) and his brother Jason (Ryan Thomas) in Thailand might do him the world of good.

Agreeing, Todd booked the flights and was packing his bags on Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa Swain’s (Vicky Myers) wedding day.

However, while Todd was about to bid Weatherfield bon voyage, viewers’ attention was drawn to a scaffolder on the roof – whose face was obscured by a safey helmet and a conveniently carried plank of wood – who seemed to be examining the upstairs bedroom window in Todd’s flat.

Obviously, fans were instantly worried that the brooding figure on the roof in a high viz jacket was none other than Theo.

Unfortunately, this theory is 100% accurate, as shown in this sneak peek video featuring a nail-biting showdown between Todd and his tormentor.

On the phone with George, Todd is frustratedly bemoaning how the window got smashed by a random piece of metal and puts it down to teen vandals… but he can’t shake the suspicion that it was Theo.

Concerned, Todd can’t wait to go to Thailand and forget about this whole ordeal.He reassures George that he is fine and promises to joing him shortly before hanging up the phone…

…only to come face to face with Theo, who threateningly asks if he is going somewhere nice.

Coronation Street has already hinted that a violent confrontation ensues… which fortunately is foiled by George arriving in the nick of time to protect Todd.

Things turn nasty, but they manage to escape…
They report the break in to Kit… but by the time he arrives at the flat, Theo’s nowhere to be found.

Desperate to get away, Todd hops in a cab bound for the airport, before realising he’s forgotten his phone.

Getting out out of the cab, he heads down the street… only to come face to face with a sneering Theo, holding the phone.

Will Todd resort to lethal measures to rid himself of evil Theo for good?
