Gemma Collins has accused ITV bosses of ‘trying to kill her’ during a Bushtucker Trial on I’m A Celebrity… South Africa.
The former TOWIE star, 45, was selected to take part in a surprise challenge late at night alongside alongside Jimmy Bullard for Team Rhinos as they took on Team Lions’ Harry Redknapp and Scarlett Moffatt.
But, after being thrown into a crocodile-infested train carriage, the TV star was smacked in the face with an explosive burst of slime and bugs.
Handing over the first task of the challenge to Scarlett, she told her: ‘Forget it, you’ve won… that just went straight in my face.’
Speaking in the Bush Telegraph afterwards, she then started to break down in tears as she said: ‘I feel like you’re trying to kill me.
You’re going to kill me.

‘It’s, like, not even funny.
I feel like you’re definitely trying to kill me.’
Reacting to the moment on social media, viewers sympathised with the TV personality, who has so far struggled to adapt to jungle life.
Writing on X, Paul said: ‘Gemma Collins is the main reason to watch this show.
She has made it for viewers!’
Lyn also added: ‘Gemma Collins is doing so well after leaving the first time, go on girl, smashing it.
Meanwhile, Kevin praised her fellow campmate Adam Thomas for supporting Gemma, adding: ‘Massive shout out for Adam Thomas and his friendship with Gemma Collins.
He really is an absolutely smashing bloke.
‘
This comes after I’m A Celebrity fans leapt to Gemma’s defence earlier in the series after campmate Sinitta aimed fire at her career.
The 80s hitmaker, 62, took aim at Gemma over her casting as Mama Morton in the West End show Chicago despite her never actually actually taking up the role.
After sharing that she thought it was a ‘joke’, Gemma told Sinitta: ‘Not a joke, Sinitta.
I auditioned for it and got it fair and square.
Did all the training, everything.
Had the voice coach.’
Outside of the series, Gemma has since revealed her jaw-dropping weight loss after filming for the series ended in September 2025.
Speaking to OK!
magazine, the TOWIE star said how she had lost a whopping 8kg as she showed off her new figure.
The 45-year-old, who briefly took Mounjaro injections ahead of the show, also described the experience as the ‘best digital detox and spiritual healing’.
