Dolly Parton has announced she will not go ahead with her Las Vegas residency as she still ‘has some healing to do’.
The 9 to 5 songstress, 80, previously had to pull out of an appearance at her Dollywood theme park due to a kidney stone ‘causing [her] problems’.

Then, in September, Dolly postponed the Vegas residency due to continued health issues but she had been due to return to the stage soon.

‘First it’s concerning my health and I have some good news and a little bad news,’ she said.

‘The good news is I’m responding really well to meds and treatments and I’m improving every day.

Bad news is it’s gonna take me a little while before I’m up to stage performance level because some of the meds and treatments make me a little bit swimmy headed as my grandma used to say.

‘Of course I can’t be dizzy, carrying around banjos, guitars and such on five inch heels.

And you know that i’m gonna be wearing them!’
Her Vegas run of shows were originally due to begin on December 4 and conclude on December 13, with the gigs rescheduled for this September.

When announcing the Las Vegas stint in June 2025, the Jolene vocalist had thousands of fans trying for tickets to watch her play across six nights in Caesars Palace.

Dolly compared herself to an ‘old classic car’ which needed it’s engine to be ‘rebuilt’, joking her ‘oil pan is leaking’ and her ‘muffler is busted’.

She said she didn’t want to ‘lose her spark’, teasing she is ‘still crazy’ but the doctors ‘didn’t mention nothing about [her] mental health’.

Her health issues appear to be linked to her kidney stone problem, which she has suffered with for a while now.

The I Will Always Love You hitmaker revealed that her immune and digestive systems have become ‘out of whack’ so she needs to strengthen them.

‘Happy heart is like good medicine,’ the country legend continued after saying she knew she was joking a little too much about her health.

Dolly said she’s hoping to get her hotel and museum sorted this year, promising that she’s still working on her musicial biopic as well as recording music.

She said she was ‘truly sorry’ to be missing everyone who had Las Vegas tickets, encouraging fans to go to the city anyway and not cancel their trips.

He died at age 82 on Monday, March 3, 2025, in Nashville, after six decades together, keeping their love away from the spotlight.

She admitted the year without him had been ‘hard’ for her, but said ‘I will always love him and I will always miss him.’
Dolly thanked fans for helping ‘heal’ from the loss, sharing a story about how Carl reminded her she’s ‘not getting any younger’ when she complained about aches and pains.

‘I said “Well honey, you’ve got to remember that as long as there are plastic surgeons in this world, I’m not getting any older”,’ she laughed.

Signing off, she assured fans that her doctors had told her that ‘everything is treatable’ so she expected to be back soon.
