Netflix in May means a brand new adaptation of Lord of the Flies, an animated romp starring Oscar-winner Michael B.

Jordan, all the Meet the Parents/Fockers flicks (ahead of Focker-in-Law, which releases this November), the second season of Devil May Cry, modern horror classics like Nope and Black Phone 2, awesome films like Under the Skin and Starship Troopers, and the Duffer Brothers-produced sci-fi series, The Boroughs.

So even while you ponder the how/why/who of Netflix raising its prices once again, here's a rundown of every series, special, movie, and doc landing on Netflix in May...

Everything Coming to Netflix in April 2026

Looking for more Michael B.

Jordan in your life?

Who isn't?

Well, his first project following his wonderful win at this year's Oscars for his dual role in Ryan Coogler's Sinners is the animated buddy comedy, Swapped.

A small woodland mammal (voiced by Jordan) and a majestic bird (voiced by Juno Temple) – natural sworn enemies of The Valley – swap bodies and team up to survive the wildest adventure of their lives.

And wouldn't you know it – they learn valuable lessons along the way!

Tracy Morgan, Cedric the Entertainer, and Justina Machado also star.

If you haven't seen Jonathan Glazer's mesmerizing, unsettling Under the Skin – featuring Scarlett Johansson as an alien predator roaming Scotland and looking for men to, er, cosmically absorb – do yourself the ultimate favor.

It's haunting, confounding, probing...

all the "ings." It's everything you'd expect from one of A24's best.

Black Phone 2, which brings back the cast from the first film along with writer/director Scott Derrickson (and co-writer C.

Robert Cargill), spins the saga in a wild new direction, diving deeper into the lore involving the mysterious supernatural abilities of siblings Finney (Mason Thames) and Gwen (Madeleine McGraw), their late mother, and the late serial killer, the Grabber (Ethan Hawke).

It all leads to a remote mountain summer camp and a sinister showdown with a sadist operating from beyond the grave.

    It's a blast!

    • Nope (movie, 2022)

    Highlight: Nope

Jordan Peele's third directorial effort is arguably his most rewarding upon multiple rewatches, constantly revealing new layers and deeper themes.

Seemingly about an alien craft looming above a family's horse ranch, Nope is about the desperate predatory nature of Hollywood and the abusive power of spectacle.

It's also just a great gd time, It stars Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer as siblings trying to catch a prize-winning glimpse of their extraterrestrial visitor, and Steven Yeun as their neighbor, a former kid actor who's turned his own personal tragedy into prosperity.

Thought you got enough of Alfred Molina and the Pullman family back in Remarkably Bright Creatures?

    Too bad.

May means MOLINA and PULLMAN, because here's Alfred Molina again, not voicing an octopus, and BILL Pullman in The Boroughs – a new sci-fi series from the Duffer Brothers and creators Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews.

Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Jena Malone, Denis O'Hare, and The Wire's Clarke Peters also star in this Burbs-style adventure comedy about members of a picturesque retirement community banding together to stop an otherworldly threat.

    • Dead Man's Wire (movie, 2025)

    Highlight: Dead Man's Wire

Dead Man's Wire, from acclaimed director Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, To Die For), sort of got buried among all the award season hopefuls when it was released this past January, but it's well worth a watch.

Inspired by the true story of the 1977 hostage standoff involving Tony Kiritsis, Dead Man's Wire stars Bill Skarsgård as Kiritsis, who kidnaps Richard Hall (played by Stranger Things' Dacre Montgomery), president of the Meridian Mortgage Company, and takes him hostage with a sawed-off shotgun wired with a "dead man's wire" from the trigger.

It's a thrilling dark comedy that will keep you riveted.

Cary Elwes, Myha'la, Colman Domingo, and Al Pacino round out the cast.
