Lena Dunham has revealed she cheated on Jack Antonoff with an old flame from her teenage years.

This week the Girls creator, 39, released her second memoir Famesick – in which she hasn’t held back sharing details of her professional and personal life.

One of the most jaw-dropping admissions in her book comes with her detailing the breakdown of her five-year relationship with the music producer and Bleachers frontman Jack, 42.

The pair dated from 2012 until 2017.

However nearly a decade on, Lena has now looked back at the end of their relationship and revealed she cheated on her then-partner – which came after he became close to a ‘teen pop star’.

In the book Lena writes that as cracks began to show in their relationship, he began spending time with the unnamed singer.

After the two had a huge fight they decided to take a break but remained living in the same house as he was also regularly away on tour.

Although the terms of their split were unclear, Lena said she was initially cautious about pursuing any other man as she wanted to observe ‘careful boundaries’.

However, she declared: ‘If I wanted to look, perhaps I may have seen that Jack was not observing them as closely as I was.’
The writer and actress then said that she decided to embark on an affair with a man named Nick, who she’d previously dated when they were in high school.

Following a hysterectomy surgery, in 2017 Lena wrote to her former flame saying that she’d ‘just had major surgery and needed to be cheered up’.

‘I got an answer back in less than a minute: “I’m already running”.’
Detailing one of their encounters Lena – who described herself as an ‘adulteress’ – said she told Nick: ‘I’ve been through something awful.

I don’t want to talk about it, but I need you to f*** me and I need you to do all of the work.’ He replied: ‘I can make that happen.’
She went on to write about how the affair lasted two weeks while her partner was on tour.

‘On the third night, my parents left town, and Nick met me at their place, where he went down on me while I watched the steady flames hiss in the electric fireplace.

Afterward, we took a bath, washing each other’s hair at the same time, then f***ed again on top of my parents’ quilt.

He looked deep in my eyes as he moved over me and said: “You’re making me want to cut the brakes on your boyfriend’s car”.’
However, the next morning she started a conversation with Jack about them not ‘making each other happy’, while they ‘wept’ together before breaking him.

Lena then went on to date Nick, with the pair even getting engaged.

But they both experienced substance abuse, with Lena eventually checking into rehab and ending that relationship.

After being set up on a blind date, she began dating English-Peruvian musician Luis Felber in 2021.

They married later that year.

Jack has been married to actress Margaret Qualley since 2023.

In Famesick, Lena also accused her former Girls co-star Adam Driver of punching a hole in his trailer wall and throwing a chair while they were practising lines.

The comedy drama series, which aired between 2012 and 2017, followed the lives of four young women in their 20s navigating life in New York.

Adam starred opposite Lena in all six seasons; however she’s now called him a ‘half-man, half-beast’.

She also said that the Star Wars and House of Gucci actor was occasionally violent and difficult to work with.

In the book she claimed that Adam punched a hole in his trailer wall because he hated his haircut and on another occasion he screamed in her face.

They’ve not spoken since filming wrapped on the series a decade ago.
