Your Kindle doesn't have to be just a plain e-reader.

The right Kindle accessories can transform the simple device into something that showcases your personality, makes it easier to read, or all of the above.

Personally, I'm always looking for a way to hold up one less device in front of my face; I'm holding my phone enough already , thank you very much.

If you're shopping around for new Kindle accessories, I've got you covered as a fellow reader and owner of every single current Kindle model.

I've tried everything from clear cases you can fill with stickers to ones with built-in straps, and have tested straps you can add to your e-reader without needing a case.

Stickers?

Charms?

Got ’em.

Hate holding your Kindle up to read?

The Kindle holders and page-turning remotes are for you.

This guide will give you ideas on how to improve your own reading time or gift your favorite reader .

Updated April 2026: I've added three new Kindle cases, two new grip options, and a freestanding charger to this guide.

An easy must-have for any Kindle reader is a case or cover to protect your e-reader.

Here are some of my favorites that I've tried on my various Kindles.

This clear case from CoBak is nice and thick and has reinforced corners—perfect for if you're a chronic dropper.

If you want something tough to protect your Kindle that isn't bulky, I like this sleek case.

It has a hard exterior shell with a soft interior to protect your Kindle Paperwhite or Colorsoft.

PopSockets has a nice range of Kindle cases that add a MagSafe ring for its grips (or other MagSafe grips you might have).

PopSocket puts the ring in the lower third of the back, so these cases are great for folks who like to hold the bottom of their e-reader.

The Dragon Sterling is my current favorite design, but PopSocket has a ton to choose from.

If you like the idea of a case that includes a MagSafe ring but want the ring toward the middle of the device, or just want a more minimalist design, this simple case works perfectly.

The center placement was still comfortable for my smaller hands, and the translucent black was stylish without forcing me to commit to a loud and colorful, wanton design.

Looking for an easier way to hold your Kindle?

Add these straps and grips right onto the Kindle or the case.

These silicone straps are super simple to use: Just pull them over opposite corners and you're done.

No sticky adhesive, no magnets, just simple straps.

The set comes with two, but using just one felt plenty secure.

Secure Hand Strap for Kindle and Tablets
This strap is similar to the Strapsicle, but it has a softer feel and can stretch farther.

It's both affordable and supercomfortable, and it can be used with a slim case.

PopSockets makes a huge range of PopGrips that can attach with either a MagSafe adapter or an adhesive.

You can find almost anything for every kind of style, but my go-to is the Nightshade PopGrip.

The colors are like an oil slick kaleidoscope.

Can't find your preferred design on a grip or something that perfectly matches your style?

Make your own.

PopSockets prices these custom PopGrips pretty similarly to the premade ones, so it's worth making your own if you have a specific aesthetic—or want to print something custom or fun for a gift!

Hate holding up your Kindle?

Or struggle with chronic pain that makes holding it feel terrible ?

These holders will literally take the weight out of your hands.

This holder works for Kindles and tablets alike, and even my Nintendo Switch.

The clamp base lets you attach it to tables and furniture, and it's easy to position in front of or even above you if you wanted to lie down and read.

If you want something that's freestanding, this pillow tablet stand holder works great for a Kindle.

I use it on the couch, and I can sit up or lounge back and adjust the stand arm to suit my position.

There are also two built-in cup and snack holders.

Lamicall says they're food safe, but I just use it to hold my tea mug and phone.

Looking to keep your Kindle charged without adding another cord to the floor of your desk or bedside table?

Same.

Here's a more stylish solution if you have one of the Signature editions.

Wireless Charging Dock for Kindle
This wireless charging dock is made by Anker for Kindles, specifically for Kindle Paperwhite and Colorsoft's seven-inch Signature editions.

Those versions have wireless charging capabilities, and this stand takes advantage of that with charging coils that line up with the back of the Kindle, where the wireless charging is.

You'll want to take off any MagSafe cases; leaving mine on made the little light on the charging dock flash until I took it off.

The hottest new item to get as a Kindle lover is a page turner.

They're especially handy for holders like the ones above, where your hands aren't already on the device, and can make for a great accessibility accessory for readers with different needs.

Here's my favorite one so far, that's been solid at holding a charge, and next I'm testing this remote ($15) with a wearable ring clicker instead of a remote.

Remote Control Page Turner for Kindle
This remote comes in a variety of cute colors and is easy to use with its clip-on turner.

You'll need to charge both halves individually, and place the thinner side of the clip onto your Kindle.

While everything else in this guide serves a protective or convenience purpose, this section features items with a singular purpose: fun.

Here are a few I've liked adding to my Kindle.

Strapsicle has both sweet and spicy sticker sets that come with a variety of large, well-made stickers.

I can squeeze about five onto my Kindle Paperwhite, and I usually just press them between the clear case and Kindle instead of actually sticking them onto my e-reader.

These charms plug into the USB-C port on the Kindle, and add a fun little touch to your e-reader without being in the way of your hands or Kindle holders.

They take a little effort to put in, but I do like that it'll keep dust out, too,, while adding a little extra sparkle.

Looking for a bag to tote your Kindle around?

These belt bags have you covered with a specific size and special pockets designed to safely store your device.

Sure, you could throw your Kindle in any old bag, but these will keep it secure and prevent scratches from your keys.

If you'd rather use the bag you have but want a separate sleeve to keep it safe, we've got ideas for that too.

This sleek sling bag is a great size for bringing your Kindle and a few other necessities without being too bulky.

Made in collaboration with Gen Phoenix , the GRS-certified recycled leather exterior has a sturdy but smooth feel to it.

This sleeve not only keeps your Kindle safe in whatever bag you've stored it in, but adds a fun, mystical vibe.

This one is compatible with the Kindle Paperwhite (2021) , but the site offers both smaller and larger sleeves for other Kindles too.

If you're reading this guide and actually are still in need of a Kindle, we've got an entire guide to the best Kindles to buy and why .

Here are my top favorites.

Kindle Paperwhite (2024, 12th Generation)
Our all-around top favorite has an adjustable warm light (auto-adjusting if you choose the upgraded Signature version), three months of battery life, and a 7-inch screen for one of the best e-reader experiences.

My personal favorite Kindle is the older Scribe.

It's a combination of an e-reader and a digital notebook.

There's a new version out, but I still really like the features (and price!) of the 2024 model.

Looking for something more affordable?

The newest base Kindle is small yet mighty, and the matcha color is fun.

Kindle Colorsoft and Colorsoft Signature Edition
Amazon (Colorsoft Signature Edition)
Can These Accessories Work With Other E-Readers, Like Kobo?

Some of them can!

You'll have to check descriptions for certain items (like cases or things that have to perfectly fit the device) since other devices like Kobo and Nook don't have the same dimensions as a Kindle, but flexible straps, generic tablet holders, and decorative items like charms and stickers would easily work with any other e-reader you own.
