West Ham supporters have issued a damning response to Karren Brady ’s departure from the London Stadium .

The entrepreneur was vice-chairwoman of the east London club for 16 years, and oversaw the Hammers’ move to the Olympic Stadium and the £105million sale of Declan Rice to Arsenal.

She announced her departure in The Times on Tuesday morning , before the Irons confirmed the news later that day.

Now, however, Hammers fans have responded to her exit, with the official Fan Advisory Board (FAB) issuing a strongly-worded statement that did not even thank Brady for her involvement.

“The Fan Advisory Board notes the departure of Karren Brady from West Ham United,” the statement began.

“Her time at the club will not be judged by corporate messaging, but by the lived experience of supporters.

On that measure, her legacy is deeply damaging.

“Under her leadership, supporters have seen:
The FAB also criticised the club’s move to Stratford back in 2016.

The statement continued: “The move to the London Stadium was sold as progress.

We were told ‘we had no choice, we had to move in order to compete’.

“For many, it has delivered the opposite – a dilution of identity, atmosphere and belonging.

“The FAB has engaged throughout in good faith, offering clear, evidence-based solutions.

These have too often been met with delay, deflection, or outright refusal.

“Stewardship demands accountability.

Many supporters will conclude that, in this respect, the club’s leadership has fallen short.”
With Brady no longer part of the Hammers’ hierarchy, co-chairmen Daniel Kretinsky and David Sullivan will preside the club themselves.

The damage done to the club’s relationship with its supporters is deep and it is serious.

It cannot be ignored
The FAB have emphasised that Brady’s departure must serve as “a turning point – not a rebrand.

Deep leadership issues remain at the club however.

“West Ham United needs leadership that respects supporters as stakeholders, restores transparency, and rebuilds trust through action, not words.

Brady leaves the club with West Ham two points above the relegation zone after a turbulent campaign that saw Graham Potter sacked in September, and replaced by Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Hammers have five games left to play, and they sit just above the dotted line, with rivals Tottenham Hotspur completing the bottom three with Burnley and already-relegated Wolves.
