If your little one is a Paw Patrol fan, get ruff-ruff ready to be hounded for a visit to this new Adventure Bay-inspired attraction.

Chessington World of Adventures this week announced the opening date of World of Paw Patrol, the UK’s first and only theme park land based on the hit preschool franchise — and it’s just in time for the upcoming bank holiday.

The £15 million project — designed to replace the Scorpion Express rollercoaster, which closed in 2022 — will officially begin welcoming guests on Sunday May 3.

New images and videos were unveiled to give visitors a sneak peek into this immersive world, featuring pup meet and greets, play areas, and themed hotel rooms with Paw Patroller rescue vehicle beds set across 1.4 acres of the Surrey amusement complex.

There will also be four family-friendly rides, including a coaster designed specifically for kids and the country’s first ‘drifter’ ride that simulates the sensation of sliding and skidding.

On Skye’s Helicopter Heroes, they’ll take to the skies in a (suspended) helicopter with spinning rotors and panoramic views, before climbing aboard Marshall’s Firetruck Rescue and hanging on tight as it rolls through the streets of the on-screen town.

And front and centre of it all is the Paw Patrol Lookout Tower, a real-life replica of the tower seen and played with by millions of children across the world.

Alongside this, new images released this week offered a first look at unseen areas in the soon-to-open attraction, including Rubble & Rocky’s Play Zone, a hands-on, climbable construction zone where kids can slide, climb, and explore alongside their favourite construction pup, Rubble.

Or, they can climb aboard The Flounder Boat Play, helping Captain Turbot on a high-seas adventure.

World of PAW Patrol will also feature rescue-ready refreshments and souvenirs, as well as five themed hotel rooms – the first and only accommodation of its kind in the UK.

Priced from from £155 for a family of four, each room sleeps up to two adults and three children, with stays including bed and breakfast, early ride access, and Fastrack bronze package.

To ensure all rides and play areas at the new land were up to scratch for opening, Chessington appointed superfan Hallie Sawyer, aged 4, from Southampton, as its official ‘PAWject Manager’.

Landing the role after impressing judges with her compassion and kindness, encouraging friends and being her younger sister’s biggest helper and cheerleader, she was also treated to family tickets for the opening event, a night’s hotel stay, and a whole host of pup-tastic goodies.

‘I felt proud when I won — just like Chase, I’m on the case,’ said PAWject Manager, Hallie, said.

‘My favourite was seeing Skye’s helicopters, because she is my favourite pup, and I want to be brave like her.’
‘It’s safe to say Hallie was on the case, bringing such enthusiasm and “PAW-sitivity” to her important quality assurance mission,’ commented Chessington World of Adventure’s vice president, Nick Bevan.

‘Her entry was a brilliant reminder of how the PAW Patrol values can be lived every day through care, teamwork, and doing the right thing.

It has been great to witness the smiles the World of PAW Patrol has brought to our first visitor, and we can’t wait for families from across the world to experience the magic.’
Sian Hooper, creative director at Merlin Magic Making and the brains behind the new land, added: ‘Every ride has been designed to make guests feel like they’re stepping into Adventure Bay — whether they’re skidding and sliding with Zuma or soaring sky-high with Skye.

We can’t wait for families to join the patrol this spring and create their own pup-tacular memories.’
Spring and summer tickets to the theme park, and stays in the Paw Patrol-themed hotel rooms, are available to book online now,
