Arsenal are one of the clubs monitoring the situation of Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford ahead of the summer transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants another winger at the Emirates Stadium club with either Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli expected to be sold.
Rashford has been linked with the Gunners in the past and it appears the North London club remain big admirers of the England international.
The 28-year-old is currently on loan with Barcelona, but the La Liga club are reluctant to pay the £26 million to make his season-long loan a permanent move.
Man United still want to sell Rashford, whose salary will increase to £325,000-a-week in July after they qualified for the Champions League, and Arsenal could move for him.
They are not the only club keen on recruiting his services as Bayern Munich are also keeping tabs on the development.
Barca also retain an interest in the Gunners’ target but would prefer another loan deal or to renegotiate to pay a lesser fee.
Rashford has been in fine form in Spain, with 13 goals and 14 assists to his name in 46 appearances.
He is expected to pick up a La Liga title winners’ medal at the end of the season as the Camp Nou club are 11 points at the top of the table ahead of their final four league fixtures of 2025-26.
A return to England could appeal to the Man United academy graduate, especially if a club like Arsenal come calling.
Rashford plays predominantly on the left, but he can also feature on the right wing and as a number 9.
Arteta could do with his versatility, quality and experience as the Gunners look to challenge for the quadruple next season.
He is available for just £26m and getting such a big player for that amount is a steal.
