Over the weekend, the Minnesota Twins were given quite the scare when Joe Ryan signaled to Victor Caratini that something was wrong with his shoulder at the top of the first inning.
It would potentially put yet another member of Minnesota’s pitching staff on the injured list, as Mick Abel, David Festa, Cody Laweryson, Cole Sands, Pablo Lopez, and Garrett Acton are currently occupying spots for various reasons.

The initial update from the Twins’ manager following the match was that Ryan was headed to get an MRI done to see the extent of any potential damage.
What'd Ryan's MRI reveal?
This would be the move to provide Minnesota with a clearer picture of how they would want to proceed, and it appears they dodged a bullet.

As reported by The Athletic’s Dan Hayes, Ryan’s MRI came back clean, meaning that he didn’t suffer any major setbacks on Sunday afternoon.
The positive news doesn’t stop with the clean imaging, as the former All-Star has already gotten back to throwing on the field, and is slated to have a bullpen session on Wednesday, as reported by Hayes.
The bullpen session could have bigger implications for Ryan and the Twins, according to MLB.com, as he could be on the mound for his next scheduled start over the weekend if all things go right.
Through his eight starts this season, the 29-year-old has a 2-3 record, pitching to an ERA of 3.72 and a WHIP of 1.06, both of which are a few marks above where he was last season.
For now, the Twins will look to continue trying to improve their standings in the American League West, currently sitting a game and a half back from the top spot, which is being split by the Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Guardians, and Chicago White Sox.
