Brooklyn Beckham’s ex-girlfriend has spoken out for the first time, revealing the truth about their relationship.

Of course, the budding chef, 27, is now married to Nicola Peltz, 31, having tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at her billionaire family’s estate in 2022 and renewed their vows last summer.

Before taking his friendship with the Lola actress to the next level, however, and becoming ‘stronger than ever’ as he recently declared, Brooklyn had some very public flings, including with Chloë Grace Moretz and Hana Cross.

His romance with model Hana was paparazzi catnip at the time, as they were frequently photographed in heated exchanges, despite lovey-dovey declarations on social media.

Ultimately, they weren’t to last, splitting for good in September 2019 after nine months together.

Now, Hana has revealed that she doesn’t look back on her time in the Beckham fold fondly, admitting she and Brooklyn should’ve called things off sooner and the relationship created ‘a lot of anxiety’.

Reflecting on their short-lived romance, Hana told Hello!

Magazine: ‘My time with the family caused me a lot of anxiety, in all honesty.

‘There were a lot of warning signs and things that happened during the relationship that, in hindsight, should have made me think and maybe end the relationship or walk away from it a lot sooner than I did.’
She added that, at the time, she was ‘only 20, 21’ and at the beginning of her modelling career.

‘I came from living on a farm to moving to London and being thrown into a relationship like that.’
Hana said it was ‘hard to know what [was] best to do in that situation’.

‘No one really knew, and I didn’t, really.

It wasn’t something that I was super-open about, so advice from outside was hard to take,’ she recalled.

Since their breakup ‘many years ago now’, Hana has still been unable to avoid attention, having been associated with the family once more after Brooklyn put his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, on blast earlier this year.

‘There’s been a lot of press and a lot of talk.

I haven’t really spoken out about Brooklyn or my time with the family since then; I had that chapter in my life and wanted to move on from it.

‘But with the constant press that comes out, and with my name always being linked back into it, it’s hard not to be mentally drawn back into that part of my life, especially with all this feud stuff coming out.’
‘It’s hard because I don’t look back on that as a fond time, on reflection,’ she confessed.

In a hard-hitting statement earlier this year, Brooklyn sensationally accused his parents of trying to ‘control the narrative’ and prioritising ‘Brand Beckham’ over everything,
He also claimed his mum and dad, from whom he is now estranged and ‘does not wish to reconcile’, attempted to ruin his wedding to Nicola and pressured him ‘into signing away the rights to [his] name’.

While Hana was ‘shocked’ by her former boyfriend’s Instagram outburst, she wasn’t entirely surprised by the contents of his statement.

She found his words to ‘sum up a lot of [her] own experiences as well and the way that their family as a brand does act’, with Brooklyn saying his parents are no strangers to ‘inauthentic’ relationships and ‘performative’ social posts.

‘But then, nobody knows what’s going on behind closed doors,’ Hana reasoned.

‘But I do think it’s sad that everything had to be put out there on his side, so openly and publicly.’
The model dismissed suggestions she had been told not to speak about Brooklyn or his family by David and Victoria, shutting down previous reports that she has ‘never been pressured’ or ‘received any warning from them’.

POLL

Do you think the Beckhams will ever reunite?

  • I hope so

  • No, too much has happened

It comes after sources alleged Hana ‘backed out’ of an exposé after ‘she had some heavy messages from the Brooklyn side, warning her about being indiscreet, so she thought better of it.’
Instead, Hana is looking to the future, keen to ‘move on with [her] own life’ and make a name for herself.

Still, she’s hopeful that her ex-boyfriend can reunite with his parents in the future, despite currently only having contact with them through lawyers.

‘In terms of reconciling, I hope that they do, purely because they’re a family and I think family is extremely important,’ said Hana.

‘I’m sure that whatever happens can be healed over time.

That’s all I can really say on that.’
