A Sky Sports camera operator has gone viral for getting distracted by a glamorous spectator in the Formula One paddock – and viewers are loving it.
Broadcasting live from Miami this weekend, the channel has covered the three-day racing spectacle, which was thrown a curveball today due to forecast heavy rainstorms, meaning the Grand Prix had to start three hours earlier.
Clearly unfazed by the threat of extreme weather, however, was one woman later identified as Croatian model Ivana Knöll.
She made a cameo during Sky’s broadcast as former racing driver champ Jenson Button delivered his analysis to colleagues Simon Lazenby and Naomi Schiff.
Strutting past the presenters with confidence, she stunned with her long, brunette tresses, wearing a black crop top and tiny denim hotpants.
And even the cameraman couldn’t resist giving her a close-up, as, instead of keeping the shot focused on the hosts, he panned to her striding alongside them.
While doing so, the footage also captured a McLaren mechanic in the background, who turned his head and looked at her wide-eyed.
It didn’t take long for a clip of the hilarious moment to go viral and clock up over two million views, with one X user declaring it ‘Academy Award-winning camerawork’.
‘One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen on a sports broadcast,’ wrote @jpooch21, while @1distantbihh quipped: ‘bro said it’s other things they need to see !’
@Sr_Esquina joked that ‘nobody paid attention’ to what poor Jenson was saying, with @CryptoRadarX2 adding: ‘The cameraman forgot what the agenda was’.
The internet was also in awe of the influencer’s beauty, likening her to Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima.
Knöll is actually no stranger to attention, as the 33-year-old has 2.8million followers on Instagram, where she reposted her latest viral moment on her Story, lapping up the attention.
Knöll has become such a famous presence at sporting events, in fact, that she was branded the ‘sexiest fan in Russia’ at the 2022 FIFA World Cup thanks to her daring red-and-white checkered looks, which certainly defied Qatar’s strict modesty laws.
At the time, she said: ‘I heard about the rules, and I was shocked.
‘In the dress code, you’re forbidden from showing your shoulders, knees, belly and neck.
‘I was like, “OMG, I don’t even have clothes covering that all”.’
Still, she’s unbothered by any potential backlash for her revealing attire, telling the Daily Mail in 2024: ‘There is good and bad, and some things are blessings, and some are lessons.
‘I am the type of person who doesn’t care about other people’s opinions anyway.
‘But definitely my career changed a lot in an amazing way (after Qatar), and it helped me to get back to my biggest love, which is music.’
Crowds have come to expect to see Knöll (who was a finalist for Miss Croatia World 2016) at large-scale games and events now, with stadium security guards reportedly trying to intervene in the past when fans tried to take photos with her.
Sometimes, though, she’s in the centre of the action in a different respect, performing DJ sets under the stage name KnollDoll at halftime shows and international football matches, having said music is her true passion.
