Who is dead? Doom-laden Coronation Street trailer sets the scene for brutal murder

The absolute joy of a fairytale wedding is about to play into a week of torment, revenge, trauma, revelations and death – well, it is Coronation Street!

As Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) celebrate their perfect day, across the cobbles a scream rings out – Betsy (Sydney Martin) has found a body.

This is no surprise to fans as this was foreshadowed a few months back, with the storylines of five villains set to converge in an intense set of episode which focuses on each separate strand.

Elsewhere, sex predator Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) is exposed, with the Driscolls after her blood – not least of all Maggie (Pauline McLynn), who has a fair few enemies of her own.

Rounding up the potentially doomed gang is the enigmatic and confusing Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown), who has upset more than just those close to her.

But who is dead?

You don’t have long to find out!

An exciting new trailer filmed especially for the storyline shows the five characters in funeral attire marching up the cobbles to a coffin.

It’s giving The Traitors.

George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudlsey) is on hand as the undertaker for one of them, presenting a wreath in the shape of a question mark.

Yep, this lot have much to look nervous about!

A Coronation Street spokesperson revealed: ‘Since the reveal of the identities of the possible murder victims in February, each of them has turned more towards the dark side, giving many reasons why someone would want them dead.
