An I’m A Celebrity star has reportedly quit the show on medical grounds just days before the final episode was filmed.
The news is said to have come as a total shock to the camp, who were left in floods of tears.
Currently, it is not yet known who has departed from the camp.
The campmate tells the group: ‘I’ve just got something to tell you all.
I didn’t feel very well this morning… and the medics have advised I can’t return to camp,’ according to the Mirror who first reported the news..

With tears in their eyes, the campmate continues by saying: ‘I don’t want to go.
I’m absolutely gutted.
I wanted to finish.’
Each of the campmates can then be seen hugging the star before they exit the show.
Last week, Adam Thomas took to social media to reveal that David ‘broke’ him after fans accused the boxer of bullying the Waterloo Road actor, 37.
Adam, who has been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis, refused to do a Bushtucker Trial, claiming he felt unwell and dehydrated.
Who’s the star who’s apparently quit I’m A Celebrity?
It’s been reported that a star has been forced to quit I’m A Celebrity South Africa early, and my heart goes out to them.
No one who goes into the jungle wants to have their journey cut short, and it sounds like this departure was an extremely emotional one, with the campmates in tears as they hugged one another.
The Mirror doesn’t confirm who it is in their report, but from what’s been happening on the ITV show recently, it sounds like Adam Thomas could be the celebrity who’s had to withdraw.
According to the publication, the campmate has had to leave on ‘medical grounds’, and the Waterloo Road star has recently been struggling with feeling unwell in camp, sparking insensitive disdain from David Haye.
In 2023, the actor was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis, an autoimmune condition that causes joint pain, swelling and stiffness.
During a recent group chat in camp, the celebrities were discussing who could take on a Bushtucker Trial, with David calling out to Adam to ask if he could do it.
‘Can’t do one today.
Just dehydrated bro,’ Adam responded.
‘Awww, can’t do it, don’t feel well,’ David replied in a seemingly mocking tone, before later saying: ‘Stop whining about dehydration,’ and accusing Adam of not doing enough in camp.
Posting on Instagram while the show’s airing, Adam admitted that David ‘broke him’ in the jungle, stating: ‘He pushed me to my limits, and I’ve told David this and he’s apologised and that’s that!
I’ve moved on now, am not one to hold a grudge.’
While we’re probably not going to find out for certain until tonight’s episode if it is Adam who’s had to step away from the show, this feels like the most likely scenario.
And like all the other fans who hoped he’d win, I’ll be gutted if this is the case.
However, David refused to let it go and told him: ‘I don’t like guys who are a bit useless.’
Taking to social media, fans described David’s comments as ‘infuriating’.
Reflecting on his struggles in camp, Adam then issued a statement where he admitted that the heavyweight ‘broke’ him to his lowest during the experience.
In a touching post, he confessed that he thought the feisty atmosphere in camp was ‘his fault’, but he has since realised that wasn’t the case.
The latest departure now means that eight contestants will be left fighting for the title in the live final on Friday.
They will take part in a trial called Rancid Run which sees them playing in pairs.
There are also expected to be more evictions throughout the week until there is a final four at the end.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
South Africa continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
