Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) has so far targetted a number of residents as part of her somewhat strange plan in Coronation Street.
In upcoming episodes, her list of victims gets longer as she turns her attention to someone new.
While a plan to essentially steal Shona’s life got underway, the ITV soap also showed us that Jodie – for some reason – takes pleasure in making other people’s lives a misery.
Her determination to get David to cheat on Shona led to a pretty uncomfortable moment in recent episodes – and suffice to say Jodie’s plan didn’t play out the way she expected.
In a fit of rage, Jodie responded to a flirty message from David to Shona’s phone as Shona, sending a love heart when he suggested they make the most of having the house to themselves.
When a drunken David returned, he found candles lit for a romantic atmosphere and stumbled into bed with who he thought was Shona.
But it was Jodie, wearing Shona’s lingerie and presumably her perfume.
David kissed Jodie.
No sooner did Jodie whisper his name amorously, did he snap out of it and realise that he had leapt into bed with the wrong sister.
Recriminations flew as David accused Jodie of setting the whole thing up, while Jodie tried to gaslight the hell out of him and twist the narrative so he looked like the guilty party.
Because she was so keen to tell Shona what happened, Jodie’s intent was clear – to destroy David’s marriage by making him look like a cheater.
Fortunately it didn’t get that far.
Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) heard their heated argument from outside and came into investigate.
Next week, with the dynamic terribly awkward, David demands that Jodie moves out, but Jodie tries to stick around by planting seeds of doubt in Shona’s mind about what went on between them in the bedroom.
Unable to find a place to stay, Jodie overhears Ken Barlow (William Roache) talking about Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) plan to visit the Lakes and forms an idea herself.
Jodie lets herself into Daniel’s flat, and is shocked to see him there.
Jodie pretends that she found a spare key on the pavement and was returning it, but Daniel doesn’t buy it.

Daniel tells Jodie to leave, but she soon realises the lack of roof over her head won’t be a problem for much longer.
Jodie threatens Daniel and says that if he doesn’t let her stay, she’ll tell his family that he isn’t in the Lakes.
Later in the week, Jodie pops back to the Platt household and tells Shona that there are no hard feelings, and that she’s now staying with a mate.
However, as Jodie leaves, her expression darkens.
Daniel hiding in his flat comes amid a new storyline for the character, which will explore the aftermath of his relationship with child abuse Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon).
‘He met somebody who’s on the same page as a teacher, apparently respectable, and he’s been completely duped by it, and it completely makes him unravel’, producer of the show Kate Brooks said.
‘Rob who plays Daniel is such a phenomenal actor and we’ll see him slowly start to lose it, because of wondering who to trust.
He’s been bitten so badly by this relationship, and by the fact that he was the one who defended her as well, he feels like he’s let Will down.
He feels like he’s let Bertie down.
‘We’re really going to chart the impact she’s had on him and his life and his attitude to relationships going forward.’
Jodie has no idea of Daniel’s history and just what he’s capable of when he’s in a low place.
If Daniel ends up questioning Jodie’s moves, could he be the one to discover what she’s been up to since arriving in Weatherfield?
