Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) is finally arrested in upcoming Coronation Street episodes – but whether she actually faces the consequences for her actions is another thing entirely.
Introduced to us last year, Megan spent months sexually abusing teenager Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale).
Believing he was in a relationship with her, Will had no idea that Megan was doing something wrong.
Will’s school mate Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) ended up exposing Megan’s secret, as he discovered proof of the abuse.
Understandably, the Driscoll family have struggled a great deal in the aftermath.
Amid the guilt they feel over not being aware of what was going on with Will, the clan have also been told that there isn’t actually any physical proof that Megan was being abusive.
Will has also spent this period in denial that something terrible happened to him.
Thankfully, a little glimmer of light begins to appear at the end of the tunnel soon, as Will finally reports Megan to the police.
It ends up being Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) who manages to get through to the teen.
Throughout this entire aftermath, Will has struggled to open up because his loved ones have no idea what he’s been through.
When Tim was 14, he was in an inappropriate relationship with a woman called Trisha, who was 20 at the time.
It’s taken him a little while to come to terms with his reality as well, but Tim will eventually tell Will about his relationship with Trisha, and says that he enjoyed it at the time, but has now come to realise that technically he was a victim of rape.
Just before this game-changing conversation, Will secretly meets with Megan amid their plan to head to France.
As a cover story, Will has told the Driscolls that he wants to move to Scotland with his mum.
When the day arrives, Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker), Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) and young Susie wave goodbye to Will, who gets into Tim’s taxi and leaves the cobbles.
In the cab, Tim receives a notification that the Glasgow train is cancelled.
When Will insists that they head to the station anyway, Tim becomes concerned.
Back in the pub, Ben realises Will’s passport is missing and is thrown into a panic.
He races to the cab office and instructs Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) to message Tim and tell him not to let Will out of his sight.

The plan and conversation Tim has with Will appears to work as towards the end of the week, Will tells Ben and Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) that reporting Megan was the hardest thing he’s ever had to do as he loved her.
Meanwhile, at the station, DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) interviews Megan.
When Lisa reveals that Will is alleging that he had a sexual relationship with her, Megan states that it’s all lies.
Can Megan worm her way out of this?
Or will she be charged?
